the timeless of a crumbling clock
a broken metronome keeping the right beat
shattered door knobs that still lock
and icy snow that produces heat
an ephemeral epiphany stretched out for eternity
and a needle stitching my pieces together
pointless
an eloquent peacemaker staring wordlessly
the crowded isolation sitting in the corner
like lochness
the thoughts in my head are churning
i’m forgetting and relearning
building the walls of a heart
