you wouldn’t say yes
you wouldn’t want to fall over screaming because
living is too much to bear
because you want your heart to stop beating
and your blood to go cold
and your soul to leave this unforgiving place i call home
you don’t want the feeling
to haunt your dreams forever

so you leave me with the boat
alone
again
all alone
you leave the blue abyss we were supposed to cross together
you leave me with the world unseen by eyes
and go home to the warm fire
and leave me out in the cold
