My pet dog is a fat, lazy, but
adorable dog named Jazzy.
Chasing squirrels
Eating her dog food
Food scraps we give her.
Sleeping on her dog bed
Snuggling
With my other dog, Allie
and my blanket.

I go in my car, looking out the window
Seeing people marching for equal rights
People standing in a straight line yelling for Equal Rights.
Then people with signs
That says we want Equal Rights
People standing in front of the DC Capitol
Black people saying we want Equal rights
and then I see
Martin Luther King Jr
Things will be alright

Oh how I love
This time of year.
Being with family,
and having Christmas cheer.
I sit by the fire
And stories are read
When lots of things
are going on in my head.
As I look out at the snow
I know someone is on his way,
to bring us gifts and to show us
Christmas cheer.
Not the toys
Not the food
Not the gifts for girls and boys
It’s being with the people you love.

Furry and soft
So cute,so cute,
And sweet.
Heartwarming, calm.
Bunnies
If you want one as a pet,
I promise you won’t regret
There sweet,calm black eyes
Bunnies
Hopping everywhere
Tomorrow is the day!
I know it. I can tell
Bunnies
Laying down in the bunny bed
There here! There here!
1, 2, and 3, I count
Look there’s number 4!
Baby Bunnies
Sleeping on the soft bedding
So calm and quiet
So tuckered out. aww!
All I
all I can hear is the heater
That is keeping the bunnies warm
Sleeping Baby Bunnies,
GOOD NIGHT

The tan, rocky sand
brushes my feet.
Warmer than the water,
cooler than the sun.
The wet waves clap
when they reach the sand bank.
Umbrellas rise and
chairs unfold.
The fresh, salty air
tastes smooth by the sea.
The wind flies free
as I swim gleefully.

The soft music plays
My heart so tenderly
I long
To be the
Music
To give
My part
Yet I am
Trapped
In a cage woven of
Worry and hurt
I long for
The notes
To dance
From my mouth
I long for
The light to shine
But the sky
Is gray
I long to
Take a stance
Yet I am
Trapped
And the key is hidden

Music Music
Everywhere
Music Music
Fills the air
It’s the type of
Music
That’s very rare
The type of
Music
That drowns me with tears

Wish,
Work,
Wait.
Freedom.
A goal that is reached,
Not given.
The finish line at the end of a race.
A race to believe,
To make people believe.
In me,
In us,
In all.
Imagine
Lying in bed
Thinking,
If you can be
Whoever you want,
Why?
Why do people look at you funny as you walk through the same halls.
Wearing the same clothes.
Everyone has the same goal:
Fit in.
A modern freedom.
You fit,
You are free.
Wait,
Wish,
Work.

The power’s out
I’ve seen something
Should be running away
The lights come on
Now I see them
Now i’m running away
They’re
Coming
Rushing
Flying towards me
Really running away
They’re chasing me
They’re everywhere
Goodbye home

Pack it up
All the boxes
Memories,
Memories
Fade away
Say goodbye
Bye to home
Car starts
Here it goes
Dullness,
Fills the air
Black and White
Changing,
Changing.
