I Wish to Dream

My wish is to dream
To dream for an eternity
To dream until the world halts
And all that was left has crumbled

For I can no longer stand the dull colorless light of humanity
I want to revel in the depths of my creation
As my mind spirals out possibilities

Faster
And faster
And faster
Until I am dizzy and breathless
From the ideas in my head

Soaring atop the utter brilliance of my worlds
I marvel
At the gold soaring kingdoms
And the silver birds swooping by
As one scene shifts to the next
Drowning me in possibility

I am alive in worlds that are indescribable
For they have never existed before and never will again
And when I wake
I weep
To leave behind such marvels

But when I sleep
I dream
And thus I am awakened
My heart beats faster and my breaths quicker
As I leave behind the mortal realm
And descend

Into the infinite worlds
And possibilities
And dimensions
Of what can only be seen
When my eyes are closed

A world unknown to all but me
As I revel in my power of creation and destruction
I slowly sink deeper into my abyss
Of dreams
