The Movies

The Movies

We arrived late at night to the movies, the world was very dark
Movies are always loud (let’s hope this one’s not loud)
We walked inside to the sound of popping popcorn.

Oh, how I really love popcorn
We enter the theater, despite the lights, the room is still dark
The movie begins, and it is loud

(I cover my ears to drown it out) I hoped it was not loud
(I hoped to have gotten used to the sound) I’ll try to eat some popcorn
(Just like the world around this building) This movie is very dark.

I step outside the door, out of the loudness, and popcorn, and find the darkness of the outside world.
