Always thereto give a warm hug when you are sad.

The Ferris Wheel

The loud music rings through my ears.
The smell of popcorn and sweet candy swirl throughout the air.
I find myself zoning out not able to hear the rest of the peoples muffled cheers.
I never looked at high it went up, inside my head was already forming thoughts of despair.

The big wheel now stopped, which spun at a slow pace ahead of me just a few seconds before.
Stopping only to let joyed people on board.

I was next up.
Fear struck my body.
Man, it did go high up.

I looked to the side of my loved one.
Who stood strong and tall with no fear in their eyes.
Who was I?
Was I going to get too scared and not go on?
No, I wouldn’t let myself do that.
For them, my loved one.

I took one last look and hopped on one of the bright red passenger cars that were parked in front of me.
It wobbled under my weight.
Then found balance below my two feet.

3, 2, 1, lift-off.

As I was freely drifting through the sky I felt as if I finally found myself, as if I woke up a part of my body I didn’t know was there, I felt free.

I was free.

The Flames of a Phoenix

The phoenix who protects the world
With its luxurious golden flames
Keeps the cycle of life and death
Neverending
No life can exist without death
And no death may exist without life
Thus at the end of each cycle
The phoenix sets the world ablaze
With its destructive
Yet beautiful
Golden flames
The fire burns everything in its path
And soon no life remains
The cycle of life has ended
Giving way for the cycle of death
But death does not mean it is the end
For death is just rebirth
And soon, like a phoenix
Life may start anew

Joyful Time of Year

It’s that time of year,
All the holiday cheer,
Singing snowy songs,
As we walk along,
Wishing a Merry Christmas,
And a Happy New Year.

Red and green and white,
Flashing and glowing all through the night,
The silhouette of the Christmas tree,
Is most wonderful, don’t you agree?
Ornaments of all different shapes and sizes,
And an angel as beautiful as can be.

Kids frolic and play,
On that wonderful white day,
Stockings filled and presents await,
To be opened and emptied,
And to put a smile on everyone’s face.

Traditions of decorating the tree,
Listening to joyful songs,
Making gingerbread houses,
And going on trips to magical places,
Is what makes a Merry Christmas,
And a Happy New Year.

Memories

Memories
fury, relief
memories in my head
hypnotizing me.
Memories
racking my brain searching the recesses
of my mind.
But there was nothing there.
Don’t try to remember, You can’t,
its too dangerous.
I have all these questions, curious.
I was afraid…

Ash

Ash went to the bank and got cash
Then drove to the store
On the way there Ash got in a crash
She went to the hospital
The next day she went on a walk
Ash saw a kitten wearing mittens
Chasing a mouse wearing a blouse
So she saved the mouse with a blouse
Took the mouse to her house
And kept the mouse with a blouse at her house

Rot

As I bore into the ashen type soil;
And my limbs grow ever so cold and numb;
I cannot stop my never ending toil;
My ears now deafened by the heartbeat drum.

I cannot tell if this may be my curse;
Has my luck now run dry from the river;
Or maybe something I fear is much worse;
One that shakes my bones and makes me quiver.

My eyes rot and my fingers start to peel;
The drum keeps getting louder and louder;
I can feel Death as he nips at my heel;
The dirt I tear at turning to powder.

I beg, please send me quickly to my grave;
I cannot pretend that I am that brave.
