I’ll Do What Makes Me Smile
By Brooklynn Willenberg
I rest my head against my window,
Put my heart out on my sleeve,
The glass is hard as cold as ice
But here I stay and sit
Waiting for you to come home,
Always wishing you would never leave,
Finally you’re back
I quickly fly right down the stairs
I throw my arms around you
Despite my sister’s glares
She thinks that I am immature
That I act really young
But despite all this I love her
And that’s why I’ll never care
I will be myself no matter what
I’ll do what makes me smile
I’ll give you a million hugs
Because to me it is worthwhile.
