Friendships are like a glass,
Take care of them and they’ll last forever.
Break them, and it can be impossible to put them back together.
Friendships are like plants,
Water them and soil them and give them love,
And they’ll last,
For a while…
Truth be told some only last as long as that mac’n cheese in your fridge,
But some last as long as a family heirloom.
It’s your decision, or it’s not.
Learn to love, but also to let go.
Hang on to the best ones like you hung onto the monkey bars.
You can be stubborn, but not picky.
Because once they’re gone,
They’re not back in the picture for a while,
Or ever again.
Friendships are like a bicycle,
Once you’re up, you’re up for life.
Riding straight onto a clear path,
Well that’s what you’ll think.
You’ll hit problems along the way, like those annoying rocks, twigs, and bumps on the street.
But once you’re over them, they’re behind you.
You can repair them if the damage isn’t bad.
But if you wreck them they really can’t be fixed.
Years and years of love and loyalty washed away from one mistake,
Or two or three…..
Don’t make that mistake.
Hold on.
Tightly.
Think in the moment.
Cherish your time.
Like it’s all you’ll ever have.
For soon there will be none.
None of what you may ask?
Well.
You’ll see.
Month: April 2021
2020
I thought 2020 would be a different year.
Thought the sun would smile down on us
Thought I would be outside everyday
Thought I would be able to see family
Thought I would be in school,
Where I would be in the bandroom
Playing my heart out.
Where I would be hanging out with friends,
Talking about sports and videogames.
Where I would play football for Gorzycki
Doing what I love.
But I’ve been stuck inside,
Feeling like a prisoner in my own home.
Nowhere to go,
Nothing to see
We all feel it.
But maybe 2021 will be the year of change
The year everything gets better
The year that re-activates our hearts
So we can feel better again.
No Place Like Home
Home, different for every individual,
but a place for anyone to feel safe,
like a turtle in its shell.
Home is not a perfect place, so you don’t have to feel perfect.
Home is a place where you can show your flaws.
Home is a place to not worry about what people think.
It has squirrels rummaging in and out of the roof,
Claws screech above the ceiling, and makes everyone cringe
But there’s no place like home.
Dogs shed in every nook, cranny, and corner of the house.
A huge white fluff ball, like a polar bear, one old laid back hippey, and an agile, black fox like dog.
There is no place like home.
home has scars and scratches that hold old memories of stressful times
bumps and bruises scatter the walls, times of pain haunt every room
but remind us of what has been overcome, there is no place like home
Home will forever be imperfect
It hold times of good and bad, ups and downs
There is no place like home.
Sun and Moon
you will never miss anyone as much as the sun and moon miss each other.
they chase each other through the sky, only to see the other once before passing.
only a small hello or goodbye is all worth the wait.
the sun cannot live without the moon, just like the moon cannot live without the sun.
we will never understand how they feel until we truly experience it for ourselves.
to the sun the moon is so beautiful, glowing bright in the sky.
although people may be afraid of the darkness, we will always know that the sun will be right behind, always following.
to the moon the sun is like air when there is no oxygen. without the sun there is no moon.
when the sun rises we know it’s a new day full of new beginnings.
one day they will walk hand and hand across the sky and we will admire them.
the Sun and the Moon.

Savior
Twisting turning out of time
Out of rhythm out of rhyme
Into corners dark and cold
An angel’s final breath to hold
A knight to stand through endless black
When tides are strong won’t turn his back
When fires grow beyond belief
When lonely souls are left in grief
Our savior strong and just and true
Will fix what has been left askew
Music
Music is my sport
The thing I’m proud of and do
I play on my piano court
The one place that feels true
Music is my voice
How I handle situations
It helps me make a choice
And make my own creations
Music is my homework
I practice with my ears
Isn’t it quite Berserk
That it can bring Everyone near
Music is my creation
What keeps me going everyday
It is my dedication
And what I shall play
No matter if I make it
No matter if I listen
The only thing that matters
Is that music is my glisten
My Thoughts Consume Me
I am slammed against a cold hard wall
My legs are twitching and I can’t stop them
The weakness of my body collapses
And all I want is to fall asleep
and never wake up.
But I can’t
At least not yet
I have more to do
And most importantly
I have someone waiting for me
And they need me.
But how much longer can I last?
Every time I shut my eyes to ease the pain
All I see is fire.
Fire growing as tall as skyscrapers
And it won’t stop.
There are people there too
In the fire
The flames consuming everyone I care about
Into nothing but a pile of ashes
And I can’t do anything about it.
I see through my eyes
But I am frozen
I can’t move any part of my body
I just stand there
Watching everyone I love disappear.
My eyes open
And I am back in the dark
I curl my body up
And try to be as small as possible
As my whole world starts to cave in.
The Words that Ran Away
Writing
the words don’t always flow easily
pencil on my paper
stuck
Where do I start?
What do I say?
How do I get the message across?
the time is ticking down
i have Nothing,
Nothing,
Nothing,
Nothing.
so many ideas were in my head
but the second I needed to write them down
the words, Disappear,
Gone,
Vanished.
i have searched my brain front and back for the words that ran away
where have they all gone?
i am Stuck,
Lost,
should i give up looking for the words that ran away?.
Fall
cold
fall down down down down they go
take a large step CRUNCH
the breeze hits as if it’s in a rush to get some where
the sky is a unlimited ocean of blue
the wind blows against your neck
a car rushes by with a full family going to dinner
the leaves pilled up like a mountain
brisk
joy
