Running along the ground as we ascend we go up
I hear the engine-like white noise
Jellybeans moving along the highway
Little broccoli covering the land
We go up I see the big blue sky and cotton candy clouds
As I doze off to sleep I hear the softness of the sky.
Month: January 2023
The dog
In his bed
Snug as a bug
as he streches his arms
O it’s so tough
But it’s time to get up
With a huff and a puff
He get’s up and jumps
Finally up
Here comes the big ruff
Golden Gate
Big bright waves crashing on the shore, tall trees getting blown by the wind, and the great Golden Gate Bridge standing right in front of me. I Smell the salt water splashing everywhere, I see sea lions on the wet rocks and feel the ground beneath my feet. I hear waves crashing, the wind blowing and the birds chirping like never before. I smell the fresh air, rich soil, and the big waves from the ocean. Last but not least the lovely Golden Gate bridge right above the big sea.
Sandwich
Slipping out a cold,
glass plate,
I get out the necessities,
warm, fluffy, and soft bread,
crunchy, sweet tomatoes,
savory, grilled chicken,
and carefully sliced avocado.
You sink your teeth in,
the flavors combine,
and make a slow transition
as they melt together into one blissful taste.
I wipe my mouth after my last bite,
and my mouth waters,
my stomach aches-
for more.
The Toothbrush
Above the bathroom sink
The tooth brush sits,
all alone
dripping water,
resting his long bristles,
carefully
in a glass container,
jumps
when the person enters
the bathroom;
looks over
at the hand
reaching for it,
sighs,
braces to be grabbed
closes his eyes
as the person clicks
his button,
and there goes
his head,
spinning,
twirling,
around
and around.
A great night’s rest.
I get under my soft sheets, my eye’s almost shut, l put my head on my pillow, and start to drift off, into a great winters rest.
Piper
As I sit on my couch,
My sweet dog Piper jumps on the couch;
And sits beside me.
She lays her head on my lap,
As I watch my movie.
I can hear her snoring,
Beside me.
I can hear my dad,
Getting up to go grill;
The delicious burgers.
And so Piper runs outside
with him.
Sleepovers
She sat down,
her eyes drooping
from tiredness;
We crowd her
as her eyes shut,
while others party
In the background;
Our screams
open her eyes,
she tries but
her eyes re-close;
She is out
for the night.
The seasons will Change
A sprout in the ground, planted by a nut, soon to stand tall. The seasons still shifting.
Now a sapling, playing with squirrels as they run circles around. Soon to stand tall. The seasons are still changing.
Grown to only a bit taller, helps the birds to a new home. The seasons are still moving.
The mighty tree looks to the town as the roads are placed around. The seasons are still rotating.
Now no life but the tree and the rumble of the cars. The seasons begin to stop.
The Cat
Under the bed
The cat hides,
Lays on the rug
Scatches,yawns
Purr as loud as it gets
Hearing danger;
Claws out,Teeth out!
Boy looks down
Gets the cat
Cat feels safe
Boy gives treat
Cat purrs in love,
Falling asleep
In happiness
