An immigrant

Forced to flee
Or chose to run
We pick up our lives
And a new one’s begun
A fresh start
Chapter one
But wait why am I in handcuffs
Why am I being torn from my son
Wait sweet boy I’ll find you one day
All I wanted was a place to stay
I’m shunned away and alienized
But I’m a person like them with a heart and Eyes
Eyes to see the unjust in this world
These people walk by it
And seem unconcerned
Unconcerned for the lives being torn apart
Cause apparently our origin determines our smarts
I was promised a home safe from fear
But now the dangers are unclear

Siblings

I see you here,
I see you there,
I see you everywhere.
I can’t seem to get away,
It seems like you’re always there.
You’re always annoying me,
I always want to punch you.
I wonder why?
Sometimes I wish you would just go away.
Annoying me is your specialty.

you can make it through

Stress in school,
stress at home,
stress in my room,
stress from time to time,
made it through last time.
I can do it again,
I can do it again.
It feels like I’m drowning.
It feels like I’m about to pass.
Feels like I can never
ever can be happy again.
I’m suffering,
I know you are too.
But you’ve done it before,
and you can do it again too.
You can make it through,
because you are,
stronger,
tougher,
you paint a beautiful picture.

Icks

Let’s talk about my icks

Some people may not be familiar with the term “icks”
Icks are something that doesnt rub you the right way or you have the feeling inside you that makes you feel red inside. It’s almost the feeling that you have when you’re blushing, only you can feel it and you know when it’s happening.

People who gets compliments and says “i know”
The word “unappreciated”
The word “ungrateful”
The word “unworthy”
A quiet room filled with tired people
Someone seeing money and knowing they could never earn that
Friends in a room looking at their phone together in silence
Not talking with your mom in her car
Playing roses and thorns
watching siblings grow up.
Hearing beautiful people call themselves ugly
Seeing somebody else look better in something than you do
When you actually try and work hard but fail.

A Star Filled Sky

the starry night sky
so vast and wide
where the stars shine bright
once the sun hides

each star its own bright
and twinkling light
to show us the way
through the darkest night

the moon circles our earth
it marks our passing days
and blankets the earth
with warm silver rays

the constellations as well
our distant friends
guiding our way
to this journey’s end

all these are reminders
from a world beyond
where our dreams come to life
if we’d cross the cosmic pond

The Orchid Tree

Underneath the orchid tree;
Book in her hand
The wind dances around me and around her head band,
Sitting alone under the sun
Tap,
Tap,
Tap,
Her pen trampling around the paper
Alone under the orchid tree

Sun setting;
Face wetting;
As she reads, reads, reads,
For hours and hours;
Alone under the orchid tree

Night time has come
The moon howls out;
Howl,
Howl,
Howl,

Goodnight little one,
Alone under the orchid tree.

The Ocean

The ocean, just like all of us, swaying and sometimes on the bumpy side.
Knowing that we always find our way home, following the bright glow of the moonlit sky.
Watching the sun and the moon go by me and the sand touches the tips of my cold, salty water and the moon crying as it awakes.
The sun soaring off the beautiful face of the sky.
I see one glow shining brighter than the tiny stars.
The moon is as big and beautiful as can be.
The hard stream of the rain trickles, and as soon as I know it, the clouds are covering my moon.
I feel as stiff as the metal bars of a prison.
Trying to reach out, but the droplets pushing me down.
I’m not able to see the face of sky, with my moon disappearing into the grey clouds.
That moon was my heart, and that moon was as sweet as a tart.
I wash away in the seaside of the shore.
I hope my moon will come back.
Never lacking my moon forever more in the starry night with the little glimpses of the tiny stars around it.
I know I will see my luminescent moon again.
