Galveston

Salty ocean waves lapping over my feet.
The relaxing sounds of water soothing me.
The sun beats down on my face and neck.
If your looking for a beach, this one is the best.

Crystal blue waters and clear cloudless skys.
I love Galveston, it’s not a surprise.

Collecting seashells and pearly shark teeth
With my wet hair and soaked swimsuit is hard to beat.

Toes on the damp land and flip flops in hand,
This beach is like my home but covered in sand.

I wish I would never have to leave
The amazing island that’s part of me.

I glance over at the beautiful aqua waves
Washing over the ending sandy summer day.

My family is a beach

Dad-The cold water, travels far but comes back. He gets us fish and shrimp..whatever we need.

Mom-The warm sand, gives us a place to stand and guides us to the ocean.

Ashton-The tall palm tree, knows which way to blow and grows with knowledge.

Me-I’m the little turtle, still learning where to go in a big ocean.

Cole-The small sand caste, stands tall and firm but gets knocked down easily, when he is hurt he returns to the sand who helps him get back up again.
