Dandelions

Walk with me in this world
only the stars can live forever
let’s plant our seeds and hope they grow
we never know what will outlive us
take me down to where the roots can’t reach
we’ll play our music up to God and hope She likes it
most days life is just a waiting game
until then, come drown in our sunlit rains
put down the weight of the world for a while
I promise to be your everyone

Only the stars can live forever
In your eyes I see the sky

Sinking

Someone, not seeking to be saved,
Like the setting sun in mountain’s embrace.
Outstretched hands, an earnest try,
But reaching, impossible, despite how nigh.

No way to touch, no way to hold,
In dusk’s descent, a tale untold.
He, elusive, beyond life’s brim,
There was no way to reach him.

Echos of Absence

From the day of my birth, my mother never left my side
Her glowing face was the first I had seen since I arrived
We had many cherished moments and she always gave me a chance
She was compassionate, and always listened when I cried
Her soft touch blossomed throughout my body in a trance
The beach was a realm we both admired, and we wanted to see it once more.
Tingles crawled down my back, each time the wind brushed against the hairs on my skin.
The waves were in an endless rhythm, as they gracefully swept onto the shore
The sea, and the wind, swayed to the enchanting melody of the violin
Suddenly, I was left without a farewell too fast
I was too young to face solitude and became engulfed in my bad mood.
pleasant moments never last I thought.
Why can’t you understand that, who are you?
Was I not enough, Was I not the daughter you asked for, Was it fair to leave me so soon
Was I being too dramatic, I thought
Or should I leave my emotions to rot
I felt selfish and alone
But when would she be coming back home
She is doing the right thing, she had a purpose to leave
But still, this selfish part of me takes over
And all I can do is grieve.

Life

Life
My life had been guided by fear
fear is an enemy
a tormentor
I felt like I’d been pulled down underwater by dread
fighting every second for one breath of air
Depressed, no stressed, yes
Watch who you trust
They’ll leave u in disgust
The world on my shoulders
every second, the discomfort bears more
Is freedom real
will the claws that had been engraved in my flesh and blood
finally, release me from their grasp
Pick up my phone
relay the bad news
My friends hold me close as I tell them my problems
Words flowing out my mouth like a waterfall (pause)
Mindset
a negative mind will never give you a positive life
Instead of looking at the hole in the donut, I began looking at the whole donut itself
It was then that the truth was found
Something I’d been seeking for so long had been blinded by my very own brain.
Hidden behind the walls of stress and fear
Freedom
Something that is taken for granted until you don’t have it anymore
Thus, I understand the true meaning of it now
The only real prison is fear, and the only real freedom is freedom from fear.

He walks in beauty

(inspired by, She Walks with Beauty)
He walks in beauty as a beam of radiance,
Through a cage encompassed in an eternal shadow.
Though his piercing gaze is no short of a glare of wrath,
Nothing but purity and tenderness resides behind it.
O’ if the warmth of one’s heart was measured by rays of sunshine,
His would contain both the luminosity and comfort of the entire solar system.

A citrusy aroma, a hint of musk,
His fragrance is beyond captivating.
His structure that of a Greek God,
Yet blended alongside the humility of the ordinary.
He stood with pride,
But never a touch of arrogance.
And despite all thrown towards him,
He walks with beauty,
Despite it being unknown to him.

In Our Mind

When you love with your whole body
You leave no room for you
There isn’t space for anybody
Without space for you too
It’s the strength in one’s heart
And the path that you travel
That allows you to start
In hopes that you may never unravel
You can pick up the pieces
With the hope to grow
But you know you can never fill the creases
Because now it’s just too low.
You can never be certain that the choice you lead
Won’t be the exact answer you will always need

Foral symphony: Nature’s vibrant ode.

In a garden so bright,
bathed in golden sunlight,
flowers dance with delight,
their colors shining so right,

Petals soft as a breeze,
each bloom a masterpiece,
a symphony of scents, oh please,
let their fragrance never crease.

from roses so red,
to tulips in their bed,
lilies, elegant and spread, nature’s artistry, widespread.

So lets celebrate these blooms,
with their vibrant, joyful, plumes,
in gardens or in rooms,
flowers bring life and magic, it consumes it.

The Value of Life

In life, those who belong
Value thy tiniest of tokens as gold
Are always those who stay prolong
For one who views on no account shall fold
Display pride through stride within a home
When matter ensues and drains ones brain
Head held high as not alone
With faults will bring no pain
For sun will dry the weeping pages
Ones story shall never fade
With passing time with days and ages
Thus life I live becomes my jade
Thy plague of life my one desire
No foolish games for I am no liar

The Power Of Words

The Power of Words
When we think of words we think of
Run,
Laugh,
Ambassador,
School

But words are so much more than that

Words form our world
We can express ourselves,
Empower each other,
State our opinions

If we were silent, our voices could not be heard
No more laughing,
Shouting,
Or sharing little whisper with friends

Words can paint a picture
With swirls,
Rainbows,
Shapes and sounds

Words can
Inspire,
Move,
Influence,
Encourage

Words are
emotion,
Sensation,
Passion,
Excitement

Words move our world like an avalanche

Shaping everyone’s
Vision
Inspiration
Emotion

The power of words

Oppression

Oppression has multiple definitions within the word
Oppression has a monster lurking within it
Somepeople believe that oppression is learned
Just like Jim Crow or segregation, we all take a hit

Some thinks this is a game
While others are terrified to play the game
There is no justice for us cause we’re restraint
They got to reclaim us, and rename

We had to fight for freedom
By playing there game, oppression
By absorbing the enslavement, pain and the demon
Fighting till the end, now we have protection

The Oppression that we speak of today stays the same
At least people doesn’t think this as a game
They reclaimed their freedom, took aim
They said NO MORE OPPRESSION that became
