Everywhere
Music Music
Fills the air
It’s the type of
Music
That’s very rare
The type of
Music
That drowns me with tears

Wish,
Work,
Wait.
Freedom.
A goal that is reached,
Not given.
The finish line at the end of a race.
A race to believe,
To make people believe.
In me,
In us,
In all.
Imagine
Lying in bed
Thinking,
If you can be
Whoever you want,
Why?
Why do people look at you funny as you walk through the same halls.
Wearing the same clothes.
Everyone has the same goal:
Fit in.
A modern freedom.
You fit,
You are free.
Wait,
Wish,
Work.

The power’s out
I’ve seen something
Should be running away
The lights come on
Now I see them
Now i’m running away
They’re
Coming
Rushing
Flying towards me
Really running away
They’re chasing me
They’re everywhere
Goodbye home

Pack it up
All the boxes
Memories,
Memories
Fade away
Say goodbye
Bye to home
Car starts
Here it goes
Dullness,
Fills the air
Black and White
Changing,
Changing.

On a bright summer
Day a bunny hopping
Here and there
Birds chirping loudly
Flowers blooming
On days like this
There are kids
Swimming playing
And messing around
All having fun
In the sun
The soft summer
Breeze blowing
My hair
The water
As blue as
The sky
The fish
Tickling my
Feet as
I slowly step
In the pond

The soft fur brushes my skin
Like the grass in summertime
It’s dark eyes are shiny
Like opals
Its smooth fur is the color of the desert at night,
Of tree bark,
Of dirt,
Of stone.
Its paws scrape against my skin
Leaving small pink marks.
She is calm.
Quiet as a ladybug
Body shaking
As kids pet her with two fingers
Wishing she were home.

Being 10 means to
Flip out when not needed
Getting prepared for popularity in middle
Focusing hard at school
Having more advanced skills
Top of elementary ready to soar
To the next grade
Happiness is flowing through
The cracks of 4th grade and below
Sorrows coming of leaving
Elementary memories
Learning so much already
Getting too modern for grown-ups
Ready for any obstacle to come
Ready to be anything we want
Ready for a new challenge
Ready for a new destiny
Ready for 10

I am made of a
variety of art supplies
colorful and always available
except when it runs out or dries up
I am made of pictures and memories
flowing and reminding of times in the past
of fun, sorrow, anger, fear, and disgust
mixed together to form
one picture in the brain
I am the sewing kit
on my top shelf
filled with fabric and felt
measuring tape and pins
buttons and thread to make creations
I am my feelings
combined together in my body
saved in my mind
That is me

I sway in the wind,
Pray to the air,
Gleaming in the sun,
Beautiful as a cloud.
I watch the stars,
When they glide by,
Watching the moon,
Gazing.
Some say I’m ugly,
Some say pretty,
I say everyone is pretty,
In their own way.
Nature is crying for exploration,
So come enjoy nature,
With me.

I am known as the cow who refused
because of my leadership and refuge
it all started on slaughter day
and I will tell you my story if I may
The farmer came up to me and said, “You’ll make some good meat!”
“Is he calling me fat?” I mooed in grief
I got mad and kicked him as hard as I could
and he went flying in a pile of wood!
Now cows are ruling the world and will never retreat!
and if you try and stop us we’ll cook you into human meat!
