Stories alive and stories told
Thrived in days of old
Tales of God across the sky
Tales of Bridget, Queen so high.

These stories will survive in me
Aye, tales of Irish Mythology.
Tales of Sinann, Goddess of the River,
Tales of the Cailleach
That would make ye shiver.

Never forget Finn MacCool and
His mighty Fionna rule.
Macha is the Druid Queen.
Epona eating grass so green.
Do not forsake Rhiannon the brave.
Ye Irish Gods will never behave.

Wonderland

The birds chirped, the wind whistled,
Hearing the sound of the waves crashing.
The scent of fresh air,
The sand felt like quicksand
Keeping me from leaving this
Beautiful wonderland.
Why would i want to go
Go, and leave this place
This place where i am away from
Everything bad in life
This place where the sun is
Shining,
This place where the darkness is away,
This place where at night the stars
Appear glistening,
The sky booms with light, and
World around me is
Gone tonight.

Gun Rights

October 27th, 2018.
A man walks angrily into a Jewish synagogue in Pittsburgh.
Then
there was a mass shooting.
Families are broken.
It was with an automatic rifle.
School shootings in Sandy Hook,
School shootings in Florida,
Even School shootings here in Texas…
and the people who did it also used an AR.
Why are people using assault rifles (AR) for bad things?
There are lots of reasons why people hurt others…
but
why
does the government allow this to happen?
I do not think anyone will use an AR for self-defense…
it will destroy everything in the area.
I think
the government should ban automatic rifles from being used.
They rip apart bodies like a war,

they destroy the family like a beast…

they rip out souls like a reaper.
Think about it…
an 18-year-old,
with a clean record,
can buy a gun for as low as 50 dollars
And then walk out of the store
and then go to Starbucks holding a huge semi-automatic gun
and go start a shooting….
it doesn’t seem to make sense…
like love….
complicated and confusing sometimes…
I wish…
guns would stop ripping families apart…
I wish
the government would stop this…
I wish
world wars would be fought with sticks and stones,
instead of guns breaking bones,
hurting people and killing innocent children.
I feel that I’m lucky,
guns haven’t destroyed my family…
killed people I love…
hurting those I love….
I WISH
GUNS
WERE NO MORE.

The Price of the US

Palm trees and beaches
Deserts to spare
Mountains as high as you can dream
But the secret inside
Is too much to hide
A country divided
A country un-United
Once we could soar SO high our worries would float away
But now so much more
So much unwanted, undivided attention
Now you see it isn’t the same
One man came along thinking it was all just a game
The price we must pay for his mistakes
Is too much to bear, too much to pay
Now more than ever it’s time to change
Is it too late or do we have time to change our fate?

Not just a Brown Box

As I walk into the living room,
something catches my eye.
That thing was a rocket ship,
charged and ready to fly!

I couldn’t contain my surprise!
I didn’t know what to do!
And how to fly it?
I didn’t have a clue.

I got inside the ship
after I opened up the door.
There were so many buttons,
but which one made me leave the floor?

I think I found the one,
my finger is over it steady.
I press it slowly.
The rocket ship is ready!

The rocket ship is rattling,
i’m going off the ground!
So much can be done
when a big brown box is found.

Backflip

I’m nervous with my knees bent hearing the crowd of my
friends chanting
“Tayveon , Tayveon.”
I feel my blood rushing through my arms

The wind starts to blow and I get goosebumps.
I had to take off my jacket and my shoes because they were
uncomfortable and i’ve never done a backflip with them on

One of my friends yelled “hurry up.” I do a test to warm up by bending my back. I think to myself that I’m ready. My feet lift off the floor and it was probably the longest
2 seconds of my life

As I flip back I can see the bare tree in this wintertime
Once I landed every person screamed and it kinda hurt my ears
