Doggy

My dog squished between me and the couch cushions moaning and groaning,
Snug mid hug napping on my stomach soft as a feather big as a log,
My dog squished between the couch cushions all day long,
I wish it could last forever alas when someone walks in she jumps up quickly to the back door.

All Quiet by Days End

When days draw close
And the world turns its head
Closing its eyes
To the soft drapes
Of speckled velvet
Its people will lay down their hands
Tender and Worn from their work
To spend their night in wake
Curled in
As tears slowly fall from their eyes
When the lonely lull of night
Takes hold of their mind
To keep them awake
Till the world turns back around
To greet the start of day

Garden of peace

When I Go to the Garden of peace I feel
mellow and soft All around me.
I feel I’v found my place.
My place is the garden of peace.

The Garden Of Peace is
a place I belong.
I will always belong
in the garden of peace.
I’m the queen
of the garden of peace .

The Garden of peace is a Neverland
This Neverland is a beautiful place
Full of flowers dreams hope and love
Neverland is a place You are free
Fly to be queen or the king
of your own Neverland.
Flow through a new neverland

Goodnight

“Dinner time” mom yells
I clomp down the stairs
Chomp on my food,
Clomp back up the stairs,
Walk in my bathroom;
Turn on the hot water Splash
And jump in,
Wash, Rinse, Repeat
Wash, Rinse, Repeat
Soon enough I hop out,
Wrap in a warm and fluffy towel;
Brush my teeth;
Lye in bed watching TV,
Fall asleep a few hours later,
Goodnight
Goodnight
Goodni—

Flickering Fireflies

Lights dance throughout the woods where I have made my camp,
Small yellow, flashing lights,
Not blinding but still bright,
Not disorienting but guiding,
Magical lights,
Blinking out a promise for me,
A promise that gives me hope,
A promise to help me find my way through these dark woods,
A promise to stick with me and light the way through the impenetrable black,
A promise to stay,
I see their flickering promise through the flap of my tent,
I see their promise and long for it,
Sleepily I rise,
One barefoot forwards,
And then another,
I leave my tent,
I venture outside
Outside, where all I can see is darkness,
Only darkness,
The promise is gone,
A flash illuminates the night,
The light has returned,
The flash shows me the dim outlines of towering trees,
It shows me more than that,
It shows me hope,
The dark isn’t as frightful as usual with the lights there,
I catch sight of a light and snatch it,
There in my palm is a glowing light,
It turns off,
I can feel it float away,
No more light,
The glow of the lights has abandoned me,
Then I see a small yellow dot ahead of me,
I chase it into the woods,
Following that light forwards,
Forwards into the firefly darkness.

My Blackhole

On my cozy bed
I lye down,
Cover myself with a blanket,
Open my book,
I look at every sentence to see
Where I left off,
Then I find it;
I start reading as the story,
Like a blackhole;
I cannot get out of it, slowly and softly,
The book lets me to sleep
For the whole, long, night.
