A Satisfying Morning.

The sun rises up in the sky
Making pink, yellow, and orange
Colors that dance onclouds
In perfect harmony
The birds tweet a song
A song that makes the world clearer
A song people wake up for
A song I wake up for
Dew drops sit on the roses outside my window
They look so delicate
So smooth
So real
And yet when I touch them
They disappear
Like a spirit in the real world

I can only imagine where they go
Does it snow there?
Do the stars shine?
Does the sky turn gray when melancholy?
I’ll never know

Morning doesn’t last forever
But it always comes back
When the sun and the moon switch places

Dog Fight

Running from a pack of wild dogs
Only to be cornered
Grasped by the collar, pulled up by the alpha
Socked in the face

A million bees sting me
A hundred alligators bite me
A thousand people laugh at me
Nothing compares to the pain I feel right now

Thrown into a dumpster, the pack howling and saying,
“You couldn’t hit a bunny!”
I drah myself home, like a pitiful puppy
I return to my pack, blood and dirty while they lick my wounds with love

The next day I come back like coyote looking for its prey
With bandages on my side and pain my heart
I show up to the pack of wild dogs
And leave a token to say “thank you for making me tougher.”

Night-Cat

As the Night-cat’s wings spread,
My feet heavy as lead,
The Night-cat whispers to the Moon-dog,
A tree crumbles into a rotten log,
The Night-cat’s eyes begin to glow,
Then her eyes stare at me with great sorrow,
I back away as she crosses a moon-lit petal,
Suddenly my legs turn to metal,
The Night-cat moaned a tear-jerking cry,
As the silver pond lilies started to die,
She then flew to me in a longing way,
And in a soothing, creamy, soft voice she began to say,
“We live among blossoms in bloom,
I am midnight and he is Moon,
you should not be here among the golden stars,
you should be down on Earth, with your murdering cars.
You are a people, many I can see.
You are sweet as cherry tea.
Leave now and you will see,
How beautiful life can be.”
I looked at her, and she looked at me,
They I saw the lifelong beauty,
meadows of green, and skies of blue,
It’s so amazing what one
Cat
Can
Do.

Little Potions

Little bottles on the shelf
Sitting still and silent
Little potions I made myself
Always causing excitement
Glass holds the liquids in
Corks cover the tops
Sometimes there’s a lid
They won’t spill when they drop
Big and small
Tall and short
Lined up against a wall
Some hold a quart
While some have none at all
Glitter and sparkles
My gems and jewels
Their powers beyond compare
No one touches these, never do they dare
These bottles hold more the potions
They contain hexes, curses, and more
They can set anything into motion
See, these bottles hold secrets
Those ones thought to be lore
No key can open the cabinet
Nothing can bust it open
Unless the requirements have been met
And you have been chosen
Magic is a practice
There are many ways
Some types are the better to help us
But some can set you ablaze
Potions are quite easy
Depending on your rules
Reading spell books can make you queasy
Some are too old school
Little bottles on the shelf
Sitting still and silent
Little potions I made myself
Always causing excitement

Raindrops Adventure

I am a raindrop wild
Sitting in a pond so mild
It’s boring here each day
With nothing to do, nothing to say
Some fellow raindrops got slurped up
By a flock of thirsty ducks
I wouldn’t want to meet that fate
Inside a duck does not sound great

But one day I started to rise
Slowly soaring to the skies
I began to break into droplets so small
You could barely see me at all
The other droplets broke up too
And floated with me in the blue
I asked the sun what this thing was
He replied as he usually does

“It’s called evaporation, Child,
But you aren’t still a raindrop wild
You’ve simply taken a new form
Why, Child, you’ve been reborn!
I’ve changed you into gas, you see
And a gas is what you shall be
Water vapor is your new name,
But that will not stay the same.”

Higher and higher I soared
I began to condense, I was no longer bored
We clumped together drop by drop
The cold air blew, we couldn’t stop
Squeezing tighter and tighter, packed within
Ominous, gray, battered by wind
I asked the sun, “What is this thing?”
When the sun answered he seemed to sing
“it’s called condensation, Child,
But you are still a raindrop wild
You’ve simply taken a new form
Why, Child, you’ve been reborn!
All the droplets clumped together
To bring a bit of weather.
A cloud is your new name,
But that will not stay the same.”
We grew so heavy, I started to drip
Pilp! Plop! We slid and we slipped
Beginning a sprinkle and ending a downpour
Lightning zip and thunder roar
Water falling from the sky
Crashing, splashing from the high
Oh! It was just so fun.
“I’ll tell you what it is, ” said the sun.
It’s called precipitation, Child,
But you are still a raindrop wild
You’ve simply taken a new

Wonderland

O’er the trees,
a glimmer of pink enters my view.
After that, the blazing orb that is the sun,
appears in the sky.

The wonder is incredible.
I am briefly stunned,
but continue on.
For I have long to go
‘fore dawn.

Traveling forward,
not staring back.
I am once again blown away.
A second glowing medallion,
the moon is full and perfect.

My destination suddenly seems,
so much less important.
I stop,
And take in nature’s paradise.

The air is crisp, and clean.
Nowhere in sight,
are signs of
human civilization.
That would ruin it all.

Outside the boundary,
where factories and houses loom,
life goes on.
But here, everything is paused,
and preserved.

No need to travel,
this is where I belong.
In nature,
In peace,
In wonderland.

Ode To Chocolate

Chocolate, chocolate my sweet dream
You are so sweat you gleam
You call me in my sleep
I will never think of you as cheap
I would die without your smell
I wish to unwrap you from your shell
You call to me like a singing bell
I wish to feel your silky smooth self
I will always crave you like a wolf
I picture you when I’m hungry
When I eat you I become sunny
Chocolate, chocolate how I love you
