Lazy

There was a dog;
A mix of 20 breeds,
Lazy. happy, playful, strong, cute,
but overall Lazy,
Under the bed
In the pile of clothes
Under the sheets
It always hid to sleep
Its pelt of soft fur was warm and fuzzy
Being a descendant of 20 breeds
Lazy, lazy was the dog, but it always looked for a comfy spot,
And lazy it got.

Oh I Sleep

Under the faint light,
I snuggle inside,
My brain goes limp,
My limbs feel funny,
I rest myself,
In my pillow,
I look up,
To the sky,
With heavy eyes,
I roll to my side,
I sleep through,
Storms and all,
I snuggle in,
Oh so deep,
Oh I sleep.

Sloppy Dog

Next to the big, bright window,
Lay a sloppy dog who was not a widow,
He was tired and bored from the day,
He was so tired, that he needed a lay,
With his big sloppy body & his big sloppy face,
He lay to rest for his fin,
And then he will wake up,
Just like any old sloppy mutt.

Rattling for Warning

I slither I slide,
Basking in the sun, I’m warm and dry.
Sleeping in the sun, I shed my skin,
My skin is soft.
My scales are like stars,
They are like shining shards.
Something is loud, it’s a mouse.
I’m as quiet as a crocodile,
I used my lifestyle.
I swallow that mouse,
Now I’m delighted.
As I enjoy my meal,
I shake to a sudden feel.
It is the trotting of the cattle.
The cattle were declaring battle;
I knew I had to rattle.
They knew I had my venom,
I knew they were going to bolt,
And it resulted in no fail.

My Dog

He runs around jumping
As i grab the leash
I start laughing
When i struggle to put the collar on
I open the dog with a smile on my face
Ready to have a race
I began running as i pick up speed
Then see my dog step on a weed
He stops running and starts to whine
I look over and see him limping
I grab his paw and pulled out a splinter
Oh what things the world brings this winter

The Void

Ever since I was young, I looked at the stars every night.
I always thought they were beautiful, shining so bright.
But what I never knew is that one day I would be shot up in a rocket,
And experience something very few people will ever experience.

238,900 miles away from home,
Walking on a surface unknown,
I saw it. The Earth.

That little blue marble that sustained life,
That little blue marble with its gleaming oceans and soaring heights,
That little blue marble just sitting there in the vast void of space.

All of a sudden I felt bitter and cold,
Are we alone?
Is that tiny blue planet the only place we can call home?
Is there any life other than there?
Anywhere else in this void of despair?
