She

My heart flutters every time I see her pass by
Why do I feel like this?
She’s so perfect
Her eyes are as pure as the bright blue ocean
I want to feel her
Hold her
Look at her
Smell her
She is a rose
While I am a wilted lily
Pushing everyone away
Hurting anyone who’s near
But maybe if I try
I can be as bright as her

Michigan

where is your happy place
is yours somewhere special
is yours where your home is
where loved ones are
mine is Michigan
i love lake Michigan
i love to see my friends
it’s where the most beautiful sunsets are
it’s where i want to hang my hat
Michigan oh Michigan
it’s where the fish sing in the lake
it smells like love

The Seasons

when the snow melts
the sun comes back to life
all the dead trees flourish
in new being

the new buds on those trees
sprout
Up
Up
Up
towards the sun
they live in green
and life

then when the sky gets foggy,
and the wind blows a little stronger,
the green in the world fades
all is left is red

and after the red
they fall
down
down
down
they’re gone

My brain

My brain is unlike others
My brain is a shadow in the dark
Just like my life is
4 My face is pale with no other mark

My brain is like a storm
For my life has been sucked away
It’s hard to move on
8 My brain is lightning in the rain

All I can do is move back
I’m never happy with myself
My brain is not pink
12 It’s darker than my black shelf

If only I could be as joyful as a heart
Then my life would be less crappy
I am an empty room
16 But I stand strong, one day I’ll be happy

The Night Is Comfier To Me

I can’t sleep again.
That’s okay, though.
The night is comfier to me.

I stay up with some snacks,
Letting the nighttime be my bed.
It caresses me in its dark skies like a blanket.
The stars speckle my skin like little freckles of light
As the moon illuminates my book
So that he can read it too.

I pluck another pretzel from the bowl,
And let the moon read over my shoulder,
Because the night was always comfier to me.

Beautiful Butterfly

a small little cocoon, hanging from the branch of a tree,
up so high, a tiny little Butterfly.
the small creature wiggles inside, pushing out with her powerful wings.

once she’s outside, she flaps her glorious crimson wings,
she takes her first steps, as dainty as a swan, teeter-tottering on the tree.
she remembers when she was just a caterpillar, before she was a Butterfly

she remembers how much she wished to be able to fly away, to be a Butterfly
she remembers what it was like, when she didn’t have wings,
and as she’s there, trying to decide whether to fly off the tree,

the Butterfly lays her antennae back, ready to fly away into the night sky with her beautiful wings, and to leave the tree she once called home.

Life isn’t easy

Try and
KEEP CALM and
stay focused
Even when times are hard
You should NEVER STOP
The outcome will never be the best
Nor the worst
When you think things are good
Always remember
Not everything in life
Will ever come out how you want it to,
And when rocks try to jump on you
Just remember they can’t catch you

Life is like a play

I came into this world naked, and will go back naked in a blink of an eye.

Life is like a play. I feel that I am just a stranger. I know nothing when I was just born. I am just a new starting point when I was born. I will gradually get acquainted with the world and will also learn about strangers and become friends.

It was our parents who brought us into this world, and it was our parents who brought us up.

People always cry, even the smartest people will cry. Some people are born in bad family circumstances, but there is no way, because this is an arrangement of fate.

Some people are good, some people are bad. I think bad people don’t want to be bad people, because some things really cannot be changed, things have been done, and there is no way to escape, and you can only face reality . If you don’t try, what Know what will happen next?

Glasses

All the kids at school,
They always look the same.
They always wear pink and blue lenses in their glasses frame.

But even so, I think I’m different.
‘cause when I put them on,
My eyes get blurry,
I fill with fury
And have to take them off.

So one day I thought to change
These glasses that I wore,

I took them all the way down town
To fix them at the store.

The lady picked them off,
Looked at me and gasped,
“You want to change your glasses frame?”
She looked at me,
floored.

“Yeah, they don’t feel comfortable-”
“I guess you’re one of those.
Walk yourself out of my store
And make sure the door will close.”

outside in the cold,

i tugged hard at my lace.

i tried my best to cry but the tears froze on my face

i didn’t know what to do
i shivered and I cried,
“I wish there was a purple lens to put right here inside.”

Then something touched my shoe; really could it be-?
A special little purple lens designed just for me.
The lady in the shop, her face turned on a frown,
“I thought I’d let you have these.
Now leave and don’t turn ‘round.”

I smiled at her greatly, then turn my head to run,
The next day that I go to school I’ll wear these, just for fun.

I woke up the next morning and turned to my right,
Both lenses sitting on my nightstand as I squealed in delight.
This is the day, I found a way to see things just just right.

I push the school doors open, with a face just filled with glee,
But when I turned and saw the kids
They all just laughed at me.

But somehow in my heart,
I knew they fit just fine.
At least now I could see all their faces half the time.

They screamed, laughed and gasped,
They called me a disgrace,

But I just turned by head up

And pushed my glasses up my face.
