Fall Forever

Fall
The time of year when…

Leaves float from the branches

Brown
Gold
And Orange
Fill my head

Trees sway in the cool wind
And birds chirp happily

Sweaters and sweatpants warm my body
Like my own personal heaters

The days go by so fast
And the nights seem to never end

And as I sit here I wonder
If fall could go on

Forever!

Playtime

Peering around the corner,
I see the face of a monster.

I freeze.

Dark, demonic eyes look at me,
Like the moon staring at you in the night sky.
This thing,
Is ready to attack.

Escalating with intensity,
A deep growl warns me,
Of what is to come.

The ominous sound peaks,
As it lunges at me.
Im knocked down,
Like a bowling pin,
And viciously licked,
By a,

Furry,

Black,

Demon.

Whoosh…

life is like the wind
it’ll blow you down
until It has you pinned
stuck on the ground

knocks you to your feet
creates a violent storm
covers up your sights
looses what you’re looking for

Or

it blows through your hair
and tickles your skin
makes you laugh
and feel happy again

replenishes your air
gives a good strong breeze
to roll you down a hill
and get grass stains on your knees

it gives you feelings
both good and bad
But remember, it blows by

oh
so

Fast.

Life’s Game

The lights are super bright
You enter the game they call life
“No more than a foot tall” they say is your height,
You meet your daddy and his wife

You shake it, it wiggles
Your first tooth came out, “Ah!” You let out a holler
You let out a few giggles
You receive your first dollar

When the day comes you pack your boxes
A new life unfolds today
it’s time to take on new bosses.
Goodbyes are said, like foxes leaving their den. You are on your way

The color grey is familiar
You fulfilled a life’s adventure
You’ve seen many things, some quite peculiar
Life’s game was sure a pleasure

All the Little Things

Life is quickly moving
a never-ceasing race
where each and every one of us
is fighting for first place

But maybe if we paused
if even just to breathe
we might begin to notice
All the Little Things

If you look you’ll find them
safely tucked away
snuggled up in secret corners
untouched by the chaos called today

You might not always see them
but know that they are there
in the smell of baking cookies
in the purring of the kitten on the chair

They lurk in every trill of laughter
dwell in the heart of every grin
come knocking with the sun beams
if we’d only let them in

Some people long for riches
others hunger after fame
but if they’d look again
they might see it’s not the same

For when everything important
appears to drift away
Take comfort in the thought that
All the Little Things will stay

THE SUB

I walk into the classroom
And see a big purple man,
With what appears as a big gold oven mitt
On his hand

THANOS whispers to himself “I DON’T GET PAID ENOUGH”,
He starts of by getting himself “I AM THANOS” but
THE CLASS IGNORED HIM
Because of THANOS’S short temperature he YELLED, “I DON’T GET
P
A
I
D

E
N
O
G
H!”
And he snapped his oven mitt “BOOM”
The class and THANOS turned to ashes,

An Apple A Day

“I’m here for my appointment.”
“Ok go to Dr. A’s room.”
The man walks to Dr. A’s room

“Oh there is a fruit basket.”
The man takes the only apple,
And bite into the apple.

“Ahhhhhhhh!”
“Who’s there?!”
“Down here!”
The man looks at the floor.
“NO YOUR HAND!”
“Oh you’re an apple?”
“YES I’M AN APPLE!!!”
“Huh so an apple a day does keep the doctor away.”

The Stranger

she found herself
in a dark forest
fog
It surrounded her,
A steady breeze going whoosh
she looked around,
but only saw darkness
darkness that seemed to go on forever.

Her growing anxiety
was like a flame of fear
Why was she here?
But to her surprise,
Someone appeared
She knew she couldn’t fight.
But still, she stood there in fear

His glowing amber eyes
Seemed to belong to her father
(and her)
but the Stranger
looked different.
He looked at the girl, and said with a grin
The name’s Jevl,
And I know how to help.

Winter Snowglobe

Winter is a snow globe,
isolating you in its icy sphere
and a white blanket of snow.

Spring trapped beneath its ice
wanting to be let free.
Nature and all of its life plea,
̈ Melt, you white cold beast,
so the sun can feast on our colors
and demolish the wrapping of snow.¨

Slushing through the crisp snow,
is the only sound I hear and the sights of majestic white trees and sleighs gliding against the snow.
A smile beams across my face
as I think of all the fun that takes place.
Winter might not be so bad, in this cold chilling bubble.
