Sister

Hello sister
Sister of the cold and ice
Sister who hides
Hello
You have hidden for so long
And now
why must you return!
In a time in which we must we be happy
You come and
Shove
Yourself in
hello sister

  • Agnimitra

I’m sorry sister
You know my cold skin longs to be free
For my ice to spread
To not be happy
To
Be
Free
Your reign has gone Far, far, far, to long
I’m sorry
I have tried to make things equal
But you took over when I finally found a way to finally be
Happy
And
You
Reject it!
I’m sorry sister
It’s my turn to reign

  • Frostine

Sister stop
I banished you so we could all be safe
You try to fill our hearts with dread and evil
You make it like ice
Like you
I have to save us, sister
You will be okay…

  • Agnimitra

Sister you
Warm hearts
You try to
Make
Me
Leave!
You say, “it’s all okay!”
But it’s not…
When we were close
We used to play
That we could rule
Together
But that will never happen now
For you know
Now and forever
The ice
Is coming

Screen Feeds

Eating creamy cubes of milk chocolate

I cannot desist,
The whole bar will be no longer,
But there are more—storage rooms are full
Craving for sugar—even as a crystal dune laying on a spoon—

Can be killed with dry salt,

But why cancel the calling sweetness of grand pyramids—

The multi layered cakes?
Sadly, to much of my dissatisfaction,
The effects of such consumption
Are powerful like clenched fists dirty with flour
And severe like sharp kitchen knives
I became heavy,

Unlike the paper-thin, model-slim screen
Which laughs mockingly,

As it’s the giver of all the tempting, colorful unoriginality

And the killer of our novelty
I bite vigorously on the spoon,
Its steel is hard;
I broke a tooth.

Rest Away, Not Away

The circle of grass,

The men in suits and hats are trampling,
I lay in the middle frowning,
The sky is grey with clouds,
A ceiling,

If only it could fall and let me raise from the ruins,
If only the men would stop smiling,
Piercing with their eyes my deserved rest,

If only there were no fingers tapping the surfaces of many watches,
If only there were no black suitcases with an ocean of paperwork filling them,

The grass is fresh and invites the mouth to bite,

But I would be poisoned,
It’s fake.

The blades of grass are fake.

The Queen

The Queen was ostentatious,
Dressing up for ordinary things,
And she was very selfish.
She acted as if she had wings,
Trying to fly away from her problems.
But she was trying to delude the people of her land,
Only she did not succeed.
This sparked anger between the people,
Causing them to go berserk,
Destroying everything in their vicinity,
Creating an insurrection against her.
They destroyed the main edifice,
Which blocked the people from the Queen,
And mauled the soldiers that came at them,
Like ripping up little stuffed animals.
The Queen called for a peaceful forum,
But this was belated,
For the people had brought havoc to her castle.
But one thing they did not know,
Was that the Queen was ambidextrous with a sword.
She went bravely into the streets,
Where the people came at her from every direction.
She fended them off,
And went to meet the leaders of the insurrection.
They deliberated for an hour or so,
And came to friendly terms.
She proposed a thesis,
A one with egalitarian principles.
In her mind she was invincible,
For she had faced her fears.
After creating peace,
She felt the need to create more,
So she left her realm towards others.
One by one she changed them,
Although making a list of unhappy rulers.
Those rulers pondered together on what to do to her,
And concluded that she should be jailed.
They sent hundred’s of soldiers to go and capture her,
In which they did.
She was jailed for 2 weeks,
By then news had spread.
All of the people from every region came together,
And protested for her freedom.
The rulers did not budge,
Angering the people.
They started to fight,
But the rulers had too much manpower,
They could not be stopped.
Once the people had gone home,
The soldiers soon followed.
But not all of the people went home,
Some stayed back,
Attempting to free her from jail.
They hacked away at the wall in her cell from the outside,
Eventually freeing her from her captors.
They fled to one of the regions,
Where she was treated like a Queen among the people.
The rulers searched every region thoroughly,
But they could not find her.
She had vanished into thin air,
And she never resurfaced.
She was a legend among the people,
And stories about her passed through every generation.
They praised her,
Saying that she was a true Queen,
Continuing her legacy.

Sway.

I have never seen the snow
but I have been
cloaked by
thick woolen blankets of cold.
Of nothing.
Melancholic chill emphasized by the
lack of sun shining,
reflecting in my eyes.

Everything tasted bitter.
No means of heart nor
hand held to be sweet.
An ocean full of people;
I was drowning,
and yet,
I wasn’t even submerged.

“Show me how to live.”
How am I to assist a
smooth faced angel
when I myself can’t stand on
my own
two feet?
I sway.
But if I can sweep the ashy blonde hair behind his ear,
then stagnant I shall remain.

From paper
to Rock.
You can write love letters on paper but
you can carve them
into stone.

“Show me how to live.”
Living isn’t being alive but
feeling.
“Show me how to feel!”
they’ll cry,
but crying isn’t an emotion.

Feeling…
Truly feeling
is being encapsulated by warmth when gazing into
icy blues.
Feeling halved when you are whole.
Aching cheeks when they smile;
red painted lips,
scattered hair,
you’re still perfect.

The snow I’ve never seen refused to flurry in my vision.
The sun,
she isn’t shy,
She dances and sings and she
glimmers sweetly on
beautiful faces.

To be lonely in a room full of people is to be freezing under a blanket.
Get a thicker blanket.
Surround yourself with different people.
Refuse to be alone for you will
thrive
when you pull back and see
eyes closed;
cheeks painted pink.

Flowers will blossom for
you
to pick and the rain
will sing;
for precipitation only bears
more foliage for
you.

Giving and taking and
giving
anything to see his nose crinkle.
You’ve shaken hands with symmetry,
but these marble sculptures are
whole.

Show me how to live?
No,
Friend,
do not watch, for this is not a show.
Seek it,
find the heat when the snow falls,
wear a coat,
not for fear of the cold but for
acceptance of the
warmth.

Make open arms
from closed fists and
sway.
Be a metronome until
you, yourself,
have found a rhythm.
And Sing.
