Lone Flame

After it happened, I had to give everything to calamity
I was so close to what I wanted for myself, but I lost.
I walk up to what used to be a city, it’s a flame.

After Calamity arose, there’s only ash, only flame
I remember what happened perfectly, the day of calamity.
That day I was in my house, I couldn’t get out, I was lost.

I was trying to find my way out, but I was l o s t…
BOOM I was struck by a cascade of ash, the flame
Took Over me. Nothing I did helped to stop calamity.

The day calamity fell I was only five, The flame took everything I cared about. I was l o s t.

Nature Explained

The Sun is as bright as fire next to your face,
except for the fact that it’s in space.
When you’re in the fog you feel lost,
it feels humid, and like frost.

Rocks resemble a dog sleeping,
they don’t move and if I was a rock I’d be weeping.
A tree trunk resemble legs,
it holds everything up just like pegs.

The sky resembles beauty,
any other color besides blue is fruity.
The grass resembles fashion,
without it, we would be lacken.

動物

Animals are not our property
Animals are peaceful and calm
Like stars in the night
If you do not hurt them, they won’t bite
They range from big to small
From kangaroos, lions, and pigs
But I don’t know all the ones that like to dig
I did not know all the animal sounds
But I did know that some of them pounced
I knew about the woofs and the roars
But I did not know about the ones that make the rain pour
I have talked a lot about my animal knowledge
Now let’s talk about yours

The Principle

The time I got called to the Principle
I swear my body shrank
I wanted to just disappear
There was no one in the world
that I would rather not meet
When I went into his office
I was really quite surprised
I didn’t know if he even had eyes
They were the shape of circles and are like
A Bottomless pit
He pulled a chair from behind me
With only the lift of a hand
He introduced him as
Dr. Skywalker
And I almost lost my mind
I rubbed my eyes and look at his sign
And there it was in bold dark letters
ANIKAN SKYWALKER.

Time

“Tic-toc”

“Ding ding ding”
Time goes by
The roaring clock
Strikes 3 am
Then 3 months
Then 3 years

still in the same room
The same bed
The same tv

But today is different
A letter
In the mail
Labeled important

Its from the place down the street
From Harvard University

“click”
the door opens
Then a roar of applause
From the ones i love

Fall Forever

Fall
The time of year when…

Leaves float from the branches

Brown
Gold
And Orange
Fill my head

Trees sway in the cool wind
And birds chirp happily

Sweaters and sweatpants warm my body
Like my own personal heaters

The days go by so fast
And the nights seem to never end

And as I sit here I wonder
If fall could go on

Forever!

Playtime

Peering around the corner,
I see the face of a monster.

I freeze.

Dark, demonic eyes look at me,
Like the moon staring at you in the night sky.
This thing,
Is ready to attack.

Escalating with intensity,
A deep growl warns me,
Of what is to come.

The ominous sound peaks,
As it lunges at me.
Im knocked down,
Like a bowling pin,
And viciously licked,
By a,

Furry,

Black,

Demon.

Whoosh…

life is like the wind
it’ll blow you down
until It has you pinned
stuck on the ground

knocks you to your feet
creates a violent storm
covers up your sights
looses what you’re looking for

Or

it blows through your hair
and tickles your skin
makes you laugh
and feel happy again

replenishes your air
gives a good strong breeze
to roll you down a hill
and get grass stains on your knees

it gives you feelings
both good and bad
But remember, it blows by

oh
so

Fast.

Life’s Game

The lights are super bright
You enter the game they call life
“No more than a foot tall” they say is your height,
You meet your daddy and his wife

You shake it, it wiggles
Your first tooth came out, “Ah!” You let out a holler
You let out a few giggles
You receive your first dollar

When the day comes you pack your boxes
A new life unfolds today
it’s time to take on new bosses.
Goodbyes are said, like foxes leaving their den. You are on your way

The color grey is familiar
You fulfilled a life’s adventure
You’ve seen many things, some quite peculiar
Life’s game was sure a pleasure
