Why ?
They feel like they have a penis, they’re above the opposite sex, but that’s not the case
They say boys will be boys, but when will boys be men?
When we were little girls, they said
“If he’s mean to you, it’s because he likes you”,
but we grew up to find out , they didn’t like us, they abused us.
When we got to middle school, we filled out our curves, but boys only saw a piece of ass.
They played with our hearts, and we soon realized our happily ever after doesn’t exist.
High school came around and we noticed boys weren’t young men,
they were dogs drooling with their tongues hanging out.
Women are taking the world, by the storm.
All you can hear is crickets chirping.
Eve wasn’t happy with adam, so eve found herself a mary.
To love your land
And be forced out;
Asking a soldier,
“Why kick us out?”
You lose so many lives
And say goodbye
to all your family
and all your people.
How dreadful it would be,
To be a Cherokee at the time;
Being forced along the trail of tears.

I have writers block
like
you’re driving and get stopped by a train
like
you want to finish a marathon but you can’t breathe
like
I’ve redone this test five times
like
I’m giving up
like
I still have 300 words to go
like
I’m giving up
like
if I listen to music maybe
like
what did I just write
like
damn I give up

Will you spare my life
And appreciate my beauty?
Some love me for the way I look
Others don’t even know i’m there.
They love to hang around me during the holidays,
And parties are always my time to shine
But only during the pinata.
They use me like i’m paper
when I could give so much life
If only they could see what I do for them.
They flatten my heart after I give them all my oxygen
I guess I’m not as beautiful as I thought I was,
If only I could speak.
Appreciate me before i’m all gone
You’ll die without me
If only I could warn them
If only I could speak.
If I told you,
would you listen?
If my roots didn’t hold me back
Would you see me?
Stop my death
In return I’ll give you life
I may be a tree
But I still have a heart.
I believe..
I believe in freedom. The moment you have peace and love.
I believe you are the strongest person alive if you didn’t discriminate yourself.
I believe family is before and above anything.
I believe no one can tell you , you can’t or can achieve what you want.
I believe you can be what you believe to in.
I believe love is a neccesity not a want a must than a stupidity.
I believe in one self.
I believe in everyone.
I believe..

I need you
I need you here,
I need you to let me be,
I need you to tell me it’s all okay,
I need you to leave,
I need you to tell you love me,
I need you to not tell me anything,
I need you

It’s midnight
and the stars
are bright
I hear

so the wolves
will howl
Hoo0-h000
I hear
who are you
it coos
Now the sun
is up
so it says

This is an ode to the people who share the same feelings i do. And i don’t mean the romantic ones. I mean the excitement i share with my childhood best friend when we see each other after years without contact when his face lights up with joy i can’t help but feel we belong to the same power plant. This is an ode to the people who think like i do, to my sister who can figure out the ending to an episode of Supernatural within the first 10 minutes of watching it, because i figured it out too. This is an ode to the friends who appreciate you as much as you appreciate them, or when someone new extends themselves into your life to create that platonic tectonic relationship we are one moving in the same direction. Mutual feelings are more than love and lust. They are understanding. Knowing that I’m not alone in the way i think or feel. It’s how we connect to each other to create this ever expanding community. We feel it together. And i think, that’s the best feeling of all.
If we are expected to be perfect.
We wont be ready.
To fail.
To cry.
To say not now, this is too much.
Give us time.
Give us that single moment.
That serene moment of being safe in our own minds and bodies.
Now, our futures aren’t foretold.
Expect the unexpected they say.
But they never say what could happen.
How could one possibly know?.
How could you expect when you’re suddenly sitting in a room, looking at those distant memories and reminiscing in the glow of your life.
Thinking about a life that was long ago.
Smiling faces that are forever captured, the laughs that you can still hear.
It’s hard to say what we all won’t be able to see till it finally comes.
So how does one know when to expect the unexpected?.
For once we all look in fear but we do not tremble or cower.
But brace for the unknown.
