Hello Big Tooth Maple.
Your leaves are now red.
Hello Red Oak.
It’s beautiful.

Leaves crunch under my feet,
As the cold brisk air brushes against me.
A warm cup of apple cider,
makes my hands feel happy.
I bite into a piece of pumpkin pie,
and identify the strong flavor of cinnamon.
I watch as the red, orange, and yellow leaves sway on the trees, as I think about my love of fall.

In a world of imagination
Many topics waiting
To be written
By a poet eager to get
some inspiration
for a piece of
lines, stanzas,
and words clumped
together to make a miracle of writing
in books paper
everywhere
in genres of
mystery, love, humor,
joys, sorrows, nature
up to down
left to write
scribbling across the page
marks
this is where I come from
from people who write
an unusual
work of art
I am a poem

As a little ball
Sleeping with joy
Two grown ups
Hover over your face
As you take your first bite
As you wobble and fall
Babble to talk as it’s
A new baby language
A first for a ride
On wheels of wonder
A place where you have
Never been is in front
Of you with tons of
Knowledge to suck in
For a new journey
Is awaiting in a
Whole other year
New people waiting
To greet you
Fractions waiting to be learned
Life waiting to
Reveal itself
But best of all
More friends awaiting
You grow through the years
You cherish the good
Care for the bad
Make a new life
Start new love
Help the poor
And at the end
When you have learned
That will shift into a new journey
New pictures and memories to make
A whole new path to
Discover
Uncover
Recover
A new growing destiny
Packing a ton of stuff
Going to another place
Somewhere in the world
To someplace where
New experiences await you
Above gravity
Because you passed security
And landed to where
You will sleep for a time
And wake up to find
A medicine for hunger
So you can
Go on and go places
Where others have come
To see if the things
They heard or saw
Are true
Then to come back home
And shower up
For another day
Until it’s time to leave
Your relaxation
From vacation
She wants to have
Another.
Face,
Favorite,
Way of life.
But we tell her,
You
Are perfect
Just how you are.
We like your
Face,
Favorites,
Way of life.
Don´t change
Too much.
Be Unique.
Stand up,
And say,
I don’t want to be
Another.
It’s dripping on the floor,
now it’s coming out the door
the puddles growing larger
cleaning it is harder
it won’t stop coming
there’s something wrong with our plumbing
we better get swimming
our chance of being dry is slimming.
It’s going out the hall,
now mothers gonna bawl
All I have to say,
is never let your rubber ducky stand in the way
because now the tub is overflowing
now we best be going.

One little lie,
How small.
Each time,
You tell one
The tower of deceit
Grows a bit more tall,
“It wasn’t me”
You continue to fabricate
Each little secret.
You do not look back,
For fear of what you’d see.
You’ve tangled yourself
In a web of deceit,
That you don’t want to
Believe
Is there.
Too deep.
You are stuck
To its sticky filaments,
There is no
Untangling this.
But you try
Nonetheless.
Your fingers fumble,
Too knotted,
Too far gone.
The only escape
Is truth.
You must cut each string,
Each fraudulence,
With the scissors
Of honesty.
You must trace your steps backwards,
Sacrifice what you have,
For losing upon overdue truth
Is better
Than losing upon lies.
