“As the moonlight fades”

as the moonlight fades
and the sky starts to sing
today is the day
the day that will bring you your wings

as the moonlight fades
you should become
Stronger
BIGGER
Braver
than you have ever been

for the new day awaits you
drowns you in reality from within
O P E
T P L S you over and over again

some days we hope not to open our eyes
while others will come as quite a surprise

you are as loud as a lion
wise as an owl
embrace yourself no need to scowl

the moon is beginning to fade
and the sun is starting to climb
Now truly is the time

as the moonlight fades
and the sky starts to sing
say today is the day
the day that will bring you your wings

One Christmas Eve

‘Twas the night before Christmas, the house was quiet,
Nothing, even a mouse, made such a riot.
The only sound in the house was the crackling fire,
Its embers dancing was surely great to admire.

I laid in my bed, tonight I was not a dozer,
For my sick feeling stomach would make me barf over and over.
So it continued, hours into the night,
The feeling if I was good or bad giving me fright.

Finally, I found the spot, and I closed my eyes,
After a couple minutes, I fell asleep that night.
All that night, I had many dreams,
That made me think what my fate would be.

Soon, the room was filled with light,
For through my window, the sun shone bright.
I trampled downstairs, and I came to a shock,
For the tree and the presents opened my happiness lock.

All day, I admired the gifts,
That Santa worked so hard for us to get.

The Ocean

the sound clashes
against the wind
it turns the world
into ashes
walking on the beach
on the silky sand
sinking into the earth
barely on land
the seagulls caw
the fish swim
the wind blows
the waves clash
as they grow
when they fall
the world almost cracks
they stack
and stack
and stack
on top of each other
until they’re so big
they could break a billion twigs
as you leave
the Beautiful place
you hear the Joyful sounds
of Grace
you wish you could store the Happiness
in a case
until later when you need them
to retrace
the path in which
you need to take

LIFE IS LIKE AN ONION

Life is a onion
the onion has multiple layers
so does life
when you peel off a layer
there’s another one to uncover
and each layer is different
like how each moment and emotion is different
and by the time you get to the center
it’s been a long time
and you rise up into the heavens

The finish line

you are starting the race
sweat is already dripping down your face
then you are off
and you are trying to show off

you come upon a rough patch
and then you fall
you need to stand up
you can hear people shouting ¨get up ¨ ¨se lever¨

slowly you get up and think
i am in here for the long haul

then you run
kicking up dust as you run

you are back in the race
catching up with everyone else
then ahead of everyone else
tears fill your eyes
you are so so tired
do not know if you can go any more

pushing yourself to run

the finish line is in sight
you are so close
stumbling you cross the line
everything is over
you hear people celebrating whoah whoah ¨bon travail¨

no more late nights
or stressful days
you are done working till your knees drop

a wave of relief
proudness
happiness
confidence
is washed over you

you have reached your GOAL
so get some rest
because soon there will be a new race you need to beat

Cello

Racing Home
Grabbing it with wood, deep blood red
Curving to make the most beautiful sound there will ever be
At least to me

Sound is stronger than a lion
Fiercer than a cheetah
Hidden in a forest
Where no one hears its cries to be heard
But I heard its cries to be played

Strings flow like water under my fingers
Bow hitting the strings each making a different pitch
Getting louder and softer
Nothing can stop this focus and joy
Until
Music
Stops…

El Paso

El Paso is hot and dry like a
desert.
But in this desert, is my grandpa’s
store
filled with decorative pinatas and delicious food.
And right next to this desert is the farm
where my dad grew up.

In El Paso, there are boxes left in the parking lots,
and buildings that touch the sky.
There are house that are as colorful as the
rainbow.

El Paso is my family’s home,
and my second home.

Pie

My mom baked a pie,
It’s very pretty.
And everyone’s eyes,
Are looking quite greedy.

A circle of boats
Made out of crust
And of course, filling!
That is a must.

At the end of the day,
All traces are gone.
While children are “singing”,
A Christmas song.
