Christmas Times

Some know him as Saint Nick

Rushing down to your living room

You hear him on the roof as his boots go click click click

With all this ash from the chimney you might need a broom

Eating cookies and gulping down the milk

The holidays are they best time of the year

Hey look! You got a nightgown made of silk

Fun times made and filled with cheer

Spend it with your friends and family

While drinking loads of eggnog

the consequences of being human

Tragedy has struck
1’890’000 have gone
And I am here in the middle of it all
Stuck at home, feeling all alone
Nothing is shown, for my heart of stone
Every tear that drips from eyes to toes
Makes me feel worse about those
Who are crying and screaming of hurt and pain
“It’s hard to breathe, “ they say, trying to stay sane
Dangling between life and death
Now is their last short breath

87’400’000 cases in the world
Makes me start to whirl
As my mind starts to calm down
I realize what’s happening now
50 people get it an hour
I see the numbers start to tower
In fear for all of those I love
I try to think of all the good I tried as if I would, but there was none where I stood
Now I feel a tear in my eye
, I know that we could die

Winter Oh Winter

Winter oh winter, air Cold as snow
Winter brings cold but also warmth
Winter brings joy and family

The Joy of winter can melt snow
Winter oh winter, your cold brings together family
The happiness of winter brings warmth

The Love of winter makes family
The hot summer days are chilled to warmth
Winter oh winter, you are as soft a snow

The family is sleepy from the warmth of the fire, fresh from snow, winter oh winter

car crash

I was on my phone
We were heading home
All I saw was snow
Then we slipped off road

I had a life and a family
Then we had to hit that tree
No I don’t have nothing left
And all I think about is death

I was born to be this girl
Living in another world
I have so much more to see
So why’s this happening to me

I am in a hospital bed
I am bleeding through my head
I have no one else to see
And I just wanna be free

Montañas

Titulo: Montañas

Las Montañas son
algo extraordinario.

Es donde la tierra
toca el cielo,
donde los ángeles pueden respirar,
donde se encuentra la vida,
aunque sea una vida de lucha.

Al llegar al pie de la montaña,
ella te hospeda.

Encuentras luz.

Cambias ahí,
porque es donde el cielo
toca la tierra.

Title (English translation): Mountains

Mountains are
something extraordinary.

They are where the earth
touches the heavens,
where angels can breathe,
where you find life,
even if it is a life of struggle.

When you get to the foot of the mountain,
She hosts you.

You find light.

You change there,
because it is where the heavens
touch the earth.

Purgatory

In the morning you rise,
Not from a bed.
You rise from a box,
In a hole,
In a stone covered field,
In a city,
In a state,
In a country,
In a continent,
In a world.

A simple world,
A world you know,
But can’t seem to remember.
A strange world,
A world you don’t understand,
A world identical to all others.
Each with a person,
Each person with a job,
Each job as incompletable as the last.

You are alone,
But the noise of others cannot leave you.
You are hungry,
But are too sick to eat.
Your mouth is filled with the taste of salt,
Your hands covered in thick dust.
“My master has a plan,
They will soon free me.”

Your thoughts warm you,
But you know they are not true.
You need to work,
But you are stuck.
Stuck in the ground,
Feet sinking,
Lungs holding onto every breath.

Your body sinks into your hole,
Into your box.
Slowing this new but familiar world drifts away from sight.
The smell of burning fills your nose.
Trapped in heat,
Searing pain all along your skin.

Submerged in complete darkness,
Slamming yours fists on the top of your box,
Hoping someone hears you,
Waiting for someone to save you,
Waiting to leave this prison.

In the morning, you again rise into a simple world,
Where you are alone with only your thoughts to warm you.
Once again, your body sinks back into complete darkness.
The faint memory of repetition can’t leave your head.

Your mind, filled with the same image of freedom,
From yourself,
From your master.

You, yourself are the reason for being here,
But you can’t escape the past.

Tomorrow is another day; the same as all the rest.

The Muddy Dog

The Muddy Dog – (A tribute to all Muddy Dogs)

The dog walks in with mud on its nose
How it became muddy well nobody knows
It’s fluffy like cotton or like a sheep
It starts barking in its sleep
But the thing you should see
Is what’s hidden underneath

If it hears a boom if it hears a clap
It’ll start hiding right under your mat
Slobbery, snuggly, snoozes like a log
I know it’ll help me when I’m in the fog
And whether or not you need a hug
It’s always there to give you one
And when I’m scared and I’m alone
They cuddle me so I feel at home

So the next time you start to shoo him away
Take him home and let him stay
Because the muddy dog is here to play
And he’s always there to save my day

When I look into your soulful eyes
You’re the reason I love dogs and you make me smile
Every day when I come home
You make me feel wanted
Wanted like a criminal
Wanted in this world

Thank you to all the muddy dogs in this world!

Perfect People

I know you like perfect people
You may not like the perfect body
Or the perfect hair
Or makeup
But you do like a certain perfect
And the thing is no one will live up to your perfect
And you can never have a perfect person
Stop
They are not perfect
And they will never be your perfect

But I know my words will do nothing
You will expect perfect people
And for life to go your way
And we all expect perfect people
We never expect most of life’s twists and turns
But here we are making plans for next Saturday not even being sure if we will make it there

And still, we expect perfect people
