Whats in the forest?

Look around, what do you see?
The trees, stretching their branches and leaves to the clouds
The dirt, dark, and moist sheltering little creatures and bugs
The flowers, colorful and beautiful
The birds, dancing along the branches without a worry
The river, flowing free and fast
The sun, shining bright through the trees
The deers, munching on the silky green grass
The mushrooms, unique and different growing everywhere
Look around what do you see? The forest is a great place to be.

I Used to, but Now

I used to feel alone, like there was knowone like me,
but now I feel like a fragment of dozens of dozens of people seeking friendship.
Now I stand proud of the happiness I’ve brought to the world, but even though I’m confident about myself as a person I still lack the feeling of the success of what I will achieve in my future.
Which is miles and miles away,
sometimes I feel like there is nothing to look forward to,
but in the small moments I realize what joy life can bring.

Bananas

Coming from the sun-scorched terrain of Mexico,

these fruits are truly unique and a one of kind, as the beauty of a peel is as vibrant as the sun itself, with a bright yellow color.

The taste will make you start
drooling and once you eat it makes you feel you feel fantastic in no time.

The bright exterior gives way to a yummy and soft interior that is simply waiting for you to savor.

Where I Am From

I am from Rubix Cube turning and turning
from Ipad to TV
I am from a cold room with bright lights
and a closet door
I am from oak trees
who are tall and thin
I am from TV to Apple
from Lapina and Depante
I am from mathematics and engineers
and from accounting
I am from New Years going boom and brightening the sky
and from Wii
I am from Jesus Christ the Lord and savior
I am from grandma and grandpa
from noodles and bun
I am from fireworks of loving and thoughtful care
with a family of respect

Blank

I’ve used all my ideas and now have nothing to write about,
My head is blank and empty with no idea I can start with.

Not a letter,
Or A word,
A sentence,
Stanza,
Or Paragraph.

The paper in front of me is blank and empty,
With no mark of the new pink rectangle eraser or the sharpened pencil in my hand.

And then,
As if it was waiting patiently,
The paper starts to flutter from the cool outside breeze from the open window,
Giving me an idea,
To write about finally.

The blank page turns into whatever my brain comes up with
As if the pencil was directly connected.
And it seems to have life.

The pictures and words fill up the page
Like a tub full of water rapidly coming out the nozzle.
Eraser marks everywhere,
From changing minds, saying, “I think this will sound better.”

The many drafts and papers on my floor,
Missing the full trash can by millimeters.

The day is over,
And I think I am done.
The blank page,
Turns into life and fun.

What’s True Love?

What’s true love?
A summer day when the sun is shining through the clouds
Your mom smiling behind the palm trees
Your dad grabbing steak for barbeque
Your friends swimming through the clear waters
Your grandma chasing your cousins
Your grandpa watching the news
Your aunt and uncle being alone and relaxed in years
Being grateful
Being happy
That’s true love,
Your family

7 Forever

Outside not a care in the world.
The hot summer air
The cool strawberry popsicles.
Barbies and more
Stuffed animals galore
Playing and playing nothing but fun
Nothing else matters as long as I’m here.
I wish to be 7 forever sadly wishes don’t come true,
Still, I wish to be 7 and happy again.

Where I’m from

I’m from the big couch in our living room,
From the Wii, and my dad’s laptop,
I am from carpeted floors,
And a backyard with a swing set,
I am from the big tree in our backyard,
Who towered above the green grass,
I am from the dvd player, and the small play table,
From Mama and Papa,
I am from pressure and hard work, and Doctors, and engineers,
And from staying together,
I am from school, friends, and family,
I am from Amira and Nashwa,
From Shawarma, and Baklava,
From the Laptop,
And from drawing with my friends,
Where I’m from helps me be me.
