Estoy enfermo de poesía,
mi piel siente los colores,
mi vista capta el sonido;
el teatro del Universo,
en sinfónica armonía,
entremezcla sus actores
en la mente mía.
your vision, your voice
Estoy enfermo de poesía,
mi piel siente los colores,
mi vista capta el sonido;
el teatro del Universo,
en sinfónica armonía,
entremezcla sus actores
en la mente mía.
I AM A VOLLEYBALL PLAYER by: Reece Barron
I AM A VOLLEYBALL PLAYER.
It’s my favorite sport.
I love playing volleyball.
When I’m older I really wanna play volleyball in high school.
I also might wanna even play in college.
I first started playing volleyball when I was younger.
But I never really liked it until now.
I wanna fully commit to doing volleyball and be a pro at it.
I spend time outside of school doing volleyball.
But I really want to play full time one day.
Whenever I play volleyball I feel so strong.
It just feels so good.
It feels like I can do anything when I play.
I feel so energized and so many emotions go through me whenever I practice or play.
Doing volleyball is just so thrilling.
But sometimes I have bad days but usually I have pretty good days.
But every once and a while I feel doubtful like will I be good enough to make a certain team I want
Or sometimes I wonder if it is just too much.
I love calling the ball like it’s my ball and I own that ball.
I just wish sometimes I don’t always doubt myself.
But I’m just going to keep working hard and improve my skills more and more.
If I was never ever to play volleyball again.
I wouldn’t know what to play for my main sport anymore.
But volleyball is very important to me.
I have big goals for volleyball in the future.

I AM A BOXER
In the ring, I stand tall and strong,
With gloves on, ready to belong.
I am a boxer, fierce and brave,
Determined to conquer, never to cave.
With every punch, I feel the power,
In each movement, I grow stronger by the hour.
I dance and weave, my feet so light,
Doging blows, like a bird in flight.
My fists are lighting, swift and true,
Connecting with force, breaking through.
I fight with heart, with all my might
Pushing forward, never losing sight.
In the ring, I find my sanctuary,
A place where I can be legendary.
I am a boxer, a warrior, it’s true,
Fighting for victory, in everything I do.
My friends and teachers are as lovely as a flower
My family is as big as love
The world is as big as the universe
The danger to the world is as big as all the trees
that have been cut down, the animals that have been killed
People that want to help to save the world are as small as ant
People that already are helping are as tiny tiny as a pixel
But thank you to the people that all already helping
because they know if your part of the problem then we are part of
the solution and we can still save the world they could realize
what is happening
I love pickle dogs.
Bread outside, pickles inside
Pure yum, yumminess
Falling into your smile
Is the feeling I want
When I saw your smile
Seeing you happy made me happy
You should smile all of the time
I’m sorry this is just the first time
I’ve experienced falling into
Someone’s smile
I felt the difference between your smile
And others smile.
Yours is so gorgeous that it made me
Fall into your smile
Your smile always made me
Come back to life
When it feels like it will die
Your smile is my hearts savior
When my heart is sad
Seeing you smile boosted my heart every time
I just can’t say that your smile
Is just so gorgeous
I just don’t have the courage
To say it to you but this
Spoken poetry of mine is
To keep that beautiful smile of yours
And to never frown
I am always overthinking
When I see your smile
There’s just three words Everytime
I see you smile
When you are with me
I just want to tell you
This all of the time
I Love You.
Maybe in some wetlands
we were otters holding hands
never drifting away at sea.
People distanced but so close
between 2 boundless planes of land,
Because when we’re far
we’re never quite out of reach.
In places, I never knew
serotonin bleeds from my glands
and in every new sun
I remember waking up to one with you.
Every turquoise eyed
silky haired girl
I remember the curls around your face,
your flower petals
when you laughed.
I would stare and daydream
about what it would be like
to be you
when the thought of being me
was a nightmare.
And just like that, we’re through
and I know I’ll never need
to make it up to you.
Because your cries
spread like fire
through my askew mind.
Because we are magnets
a positive and a negative,
Both fighting
our own impenetrable battles
while brawling in an unwinnable war.
Because the solitude your dejection gives me
is too shameful for me to bear
hence it hurts more to see you do so.
I can see in your eyes
The irony of your loneliness
that every part of your body is experiencing it together.
And as the water
rolls over me like honey
and suds of soap
a spindrift mousse
I know that we are over
And I might-,
And I will not make it up to you.
I’m lost
I don’t know where I am
I don’t think I ever knew where I was
I’m lost in my mind
I’m slowly losing it
I lost myself
In the maze of my mind
A mind broken into pieces
Just like my heart
Pieces I tried to glue back together
Hoping that the glue will erase the scars
I drew on myself
Wishing the glue can
Hold the pieces back together
At least until my fear is gone
But the fear is always here
I fear the world
And
I fear my own mind
I lie down at the dawn of night,
And let my eyes fade.
I hear many whispers through the nights,
Victories the Light says She made.
I wish to not listen,
Pride is no better than Greed.
I wish to not let in, every prayer that contained Her sins.
As ravens start to sing,
The darkness finds what He fights for,
“He wishes to knock, at what we mortals call Death’s Door.”
Finally, the silence cracks its final laugh.
I swear above my eyelids, the world bore black.
Nothing was heard, for sound is something the world once lacked.
And I was lost on my verdict.
And as if Light made Her final blow,
The sun began to rise,
I rose from the nightmares from below
And let the Light foster my eyes.
