The moon’s glow is unparalleled
yet the glow of the night sky is not hers alone
So I’ll be a small star beside you
You don’t have to shine all on your own
whimsical stars
Whether we are as sure as night and day
Is not something that I can say
For the stars seem to twinkle with delight
At the thought of a different sort of life
Pink Is Me
Pink Is Me
Pink is my soul
It’s the sunset
And everything dear.
Pink is the healing power
Of family & friends.
Pink is school
And the glow of sunrise.
Pink is books and fairies.
Pink is me
Pink is my soul
Pink wriggles inside my heart
When someone is kind.
Pink is as warm as the fireplace
And as free as the sky.
Pink is like a wonderland
Where anything can happen.
It’s the smooth wind rushing over my shoulder too!
Pink is me
Pink is my soul
Pink is homework & horses & flowers too!
To my ornament
You’re round as a ball,
You’re available at the mall.
You’re on our Christmas trees
We sit down on our knees
To hang you we will do
A lot of stuff.
First, we’ll clear out the fluff.
It’s a race to hang you first
But don’t worry you won’t burst!
The world of kindness
The moon rises.
See the sun set.
The sun peeks out from the clouds.
We will cry because the dead ones are far.
We will see the river.
We will be happy.
Snowercoaster
Skiing is like a roller coaster,
Controlled by your feet
Quickly slic ing down the mountain
Rapidly screaming

the hill
Without one tiny SCREECH!
The glistening piles of snow are your rails,
though much less predictable
You power down the trail,
Getting nearer to the end,
You slide to a stop with a plume of snow,
a shower of sparks,
A hiss of brakes,
Your feet pushing against the momentum
Grinding slowly to a stop
Using your skis to rain down powder.
All of this,
Just

Beautiful Monsters
Pretty clothing and
Loving words
Words that make you swell with
Happiness and pride
Words that make you feel
Loved and appreciated
Words that make you feel
Lucky and desired
They’re so beautiful
Picture perfect
Their smiles so sincere
And welcome
Clothing flawless
And unwrinkled
They put on a show
For the public
Stares of envy and awe
Follow you
And you smile
Because you have to
Because you have to
Because if you don’t
Put on your show
They’ll kill you
In a thousand
Little ways
They’ll hurt you
Beat you
Until your body’s
Black and blue
Until you’re nothing
But a shivering shadow
On a cold
Dark ground
They’ll make you feel
As if it’s your fault
It’s all your fault
As if you’re too weak
And ungrateful
And you’ll believe them
Every little word
Because they are
Your gods
Your life
Your survival
And yet their threats still
Ring in your ears
Their harsh words
Lashing mercilessly
Invisibly
Against your skin
Their laughs of
Ridicule ricochet harshly
Angrily
Through your mind
So you’ll take their hands
Obediently
And you’ll smile
Smile as hard as you can
And let them dress you up
And whisper sweet nothings in your ears
And let them show the world the perfect you
And hide away the broken one
The real one
And you’ll let them
Beat you
Batter you
Bruise you
And you’ll still smile
All the way through
But you don’t blame them
They’re Monsters
And that’s
What Monsters
Do

Winter Dread
The bright sun shines above
Walking on the beach I so love
The cool breeze hits my face
While strolling with a steady pace
The refreshing waves CrAShInG at my feet
Where my toes and the sand meet
Oh it’s so fun to play
On a nice summer day
The longer days no longer live
The cold simply will not give
Shorter days lie ahead
Mittens for hands and hat for head
Winter feels like jail
Three long months until bail
Gone are the days that forgive
I yearn for the day to again live
The Comforting Thunderstorm
The comforting thunderstorm
Was loud as my sister wasn’t comforted
BOOM! Kept coming coming as it got loud
But I wasn’t scared by the loud
Strikes that came along the thunderstorm
I was never scared as I was was comforted
I wanted to be more comforted
Sooner or later IT wasn’t loud
I said hi to the rain and bye to the thunderstorm
I said bye to the thunderstorm, and was perfectly comforted, as the darkness came and know you’re not loud
