Jeremy The Pinecone

“Who is he?”
“Is he a new student?”
The new student says, “Hi I’m Jeremy, I am a new student at this school.”
Everyone starts laughing because he looks like an actual pine cone
They actually laugh so hard that most of their faces turn into a cherry
Jeremy quite frankly did not like this very much
But anyway, the class went on
From time to time he gets called names
And made fun of
And Jeremy still, does not like this very much
But anyway, now they are taking a test
But when the teacher was passing out Jeremy’s test
A fellow student ate his test!
And then poor Jeremy got a zero on his test afterwards.
But then something crazy happens
Another fellow student slapped Jeremy across the face!
Then Jeremy starts growling
But he growls quietly so nobody can hear him
But then it gets progressively louder, and louder to the point where the entire class could hear him!
And then Jeremy grabs the person who slapped him and grabs him by the neck
Then throws him out of the window!

The End

Society Standards

Dear society,

Did you notice you are
Hurting people?
Did you notice you
Starve people?
Did you notice you tell people to
Pull the trigger?
Did you notice that you drew a line between
Pretty and not?
Did you notice that even the
Sunshine
Has lost its brightness?

Do you notice the
Depression
You create?
Do you notice the
anxiety
You create?
Do you notice that you’re
As strong as
The world itself?

I don’t think you do

Sincerely, Avery

4th of july

The sweet smell of grill smoke.
The crisp blue lake.
The red glazed ribs
And creamy soft heaven we call coleslaw.
And the soft white cream corn.
The splash of the water.
The smell of the sausage and brisket
So sweet and smoky
So crumbly and crisp .
The night sky flown over like a big black quilt.
The parade of colors.
The song of booms.
And the cold root beer.
The laughter and cheer.
Now i’m ready for next year.

Spring of 2017

I see nothing but
White
and icy flakes
going as fast as a rocket
down a vast vast hill

as I race down the long, lasting
Lively, hill i see objects
Wizz past me

I look down at my shaky legs
On the soft abundant powder
And the wind pushes me forward
Screaming at me

I’M GOING TO FAST I screamed
as I start to lose control
Just Turn! Said a familiar voice

Suddenly the world started
Spinning like I was in
A tornado
Then suddenly everything

Whent to a complete stop…

I had learned to ski

Spin

Spin
I’m from the ships I fly,
I’m from the defect and the nowhere,
I’m from the life buster bombs
I’m from the caverns of Igneous and my ship M-bot
I’m from the alien krell
I’m from my dad and my mom
I’m from my friend Rodge
I’m from my teacher Cobb
From “ Get to your ships” and “It’s okay to eject”
From the word DEFIANT
I’m from the G-forces
From my cave that I have to live in
I’m from the altitude and longitude
From debris falls and the invasions
I’m from the the holograms I train in
From the star that listen to me
I’m from all my friends
I’m from rats I have to eat
From the people who doubted me
I’m from the SKY

Butterflies

Butterflies and bees
Bouncing from flower to flower
Breathing deep with every hour
Beaming with joy, without any worries

She soars high
Sadness and grief
Someday I hope to reach
She’s in the clouds in the sky

Cancer is a gun
Can kill in one run
Can she come back
Can I see her again

I love her
I miss her
I think of her
I’d die for her

She is……
Special
Stunning
Shining
But……

The Mellow Days

The mellow days are
exquisite, polished, secrete.
Their autumn wind will whisk you
upon your wildest dreams.

The mellow days are
beholden.
They are like a leaf that is leaping
from olive green to burnt amber.

The mellow days are
when sunscreen isn’t essential.
It is the time when candles are set alight,
and family kindles.

The mellow days are
when Texas comes to equality.

Fall

millions of them cover the grass and lay there
untill
The air turns warm again and the colorful flakes
Turn back to

Dyslexia

I live in a world of dyslexia,
not many see this world.
The daily task of dyslexia
makes life double as hard.
Where words D
A
N
C
E on the page.

Words mispeled left and right,
when I read out loud nothing makes sense.
I leave off ings and I misplace commas
I read slower than everyone else

But I am creative,
and I am more curious,
and I think outside the box,
and I am aware of my environment,
and I see the bigger picture of everything.

My world with dyslexia isn’t perfect,
but not at all bad.
Sure there is some conflict,
but there are bonuses that add.
