Climate Change

Whenever I walk outside I smell disgustingness
NO people’s mistakes.

I go to the beach, I go skiing, I go biking and I see trash flying all over the world.

There are disgusting smells and they look like clouds of dust.

BUT there is a bright Vibrant yellow circle showing in the Blue and White sky and there are Beautiful sounds of Cawing through the trees

When those things are gone there will be no more sun shining,
there will only be dark puffy stuff.

Dark skies and there will be no cawing, just the sound of engines.

Dark disgustingness coming out of colorful things with wheels.
They are some bad guys.

If that happens I would be sad.
NO that’s not the word, I would be down right devastated

But there is something that people Can Change, like the amount of gasoline they use.

You could bike ride instead of driving in those bad guys that have colorful wheels.

Turning off the water faucet if you are not using it, and taking shorter showers.

So go out there and change the climate

So I can smell the sun!

Where I’m From

I am from Paint brushes and pencils

From Cavender boots and summer dresses

I am from the garden me and my mom planted together

Bright colorful flowers

I am from the blue ocean waves

I’m from Christmas lights and Sunday dinners

From Lesslie and Garrett

I’m from family game nights and movies

From “life is unfair” and “that’s the way the cookie crumbles”

I’m from Austin Texas and Ireland

From homemade bread, hot from the oven with melted butter

I’m from stories of my grandfather picking up trash to earn .25 cents to go swimming in the quarry

From the painting and beautiful art, my grandmother taught me to do

I’m from the fireplace mantle filled with pictures of people I love in special memories

My Beautiful Sky

When I look in the Sky
I close my eyes and I imagine a beautiful
butterfly that is holding
my hand and flying
me to the top of the heart
shaped clouds.
When I look in Sky
I see bright streaks of lightning
that are unknown but wanted.
when I look in the sky
the rain drops on my eyes and
I smell the fresh petrichor
dancing on the grass.
When I look in the sky
I see a deep dark blue sky
scattered with bright stars.
When I look in the sky
the rainbow says Hi to me
and I wanted to go on the top
and slide down to the ground
and spread the colors everywhere.

I am From

I am from welcoming doors that open up to the warmth
From the fluffy rice at the dinner table and the magical playland
I am from my kingdom of everything the light touches inside the four walls
And all the tall windows with a view of the sky
I am from the giant oak tree resting in the corner,
Whose arms gave me shelter during the sweltering heat of the summer days
I am from the beaches of the Mediterranean
From Gokdere of Sky and river and Kozak of steppes
And from happiness and thundering laughter
I am from never feeling the cold on my skin in the clear waters
From Boreks and dolmas
I am from the moments that made me who I am
And the moments that will live forever in my fondest memories….

What’s in My Garage

Bikes not used in years rusting in sadness
A bucket full of sports equipment whimpering to be used
2 shelves bent to the floor like a stretchy rubber snake
Dog bowls crusted with the words of WASH ME
Shoes like a black hole
A fridge contaning my parents classified contents
Coolers faded by the light of their death
My garage is full of new experiences.

I am someone

I am

Someone who

Plays super smash bros

In the mornings

I am someone who

Always wakes up at 6:00 AM

And beats my parents down stairs

I am someone who is like an observatory tower

With people surrounding at the top spotting anything unusual.

The Ocean May Seem Beautiful

The ocean may seem beautiful:
Clear turquoise waters that mirror the sky,
small stones that reflect like glass,
white sand that clings onto you with microscopic hands.
Small little waves that move up and down your legs,
pink seashells with a perfectly copied groove.
Elusive pearls that glisten and shine.
The ocean may seem beautiful,
but it is full of terrors.
Dark murky waters that are tainted with sand.
Menacing jagged rocks that try to block out the incoming ocean.
Brown clumpy sand that tries to drag you down into the Earth.
Sluggish waves that slowly arc up and devour any ships underneath.
Ravaging tsunamis that steal anything they see.
A tiny little light in the mist of the ocean, is there hope?
No, it’s a trap set by an angler fish.
Crumpled edges of a cliff that looms right over the edge.
A giant squid that’s ready to clamp down on you.
Who knows what’s down there, ready to drag you down into the abyss.
The ocean is like a coin with two sides.
The question is:
which one do you see?

The creature

I love this creature
that lives in my house
Not as silent as a mouse
He’s as vocal as a lion!
I have to make sure he doesn’t run out to the dandelions
His whiskers flow in the ever so calm breeze
And to my dogs he likes to tease
He acts like my dogs
My bed, he hogs
Can you guess what it is?
His puffed hair is like one big frizz!
His rough pink tounge is all I need on a bad day
With his toys he will forever play
He doesn’t know hate he only knows love
He shall only drink from the sink
“Why do I even give him a bowl?” I think.
He comforts when cold
His purrs never get old
Yes! You guessed it!
This creature is my cat
His name is Romeo and that is all I have to say about that!

Saying Goodbye

The day you left my heart shattered into thousands of tiny pieces.
How could you say goodbye to someone you have known your whole life.
A girl’s best friend and a squirrel’s greatest enemy.
I wiped the tears down my face in a moment of realization.
It was all a blur in my young eyes.
Through the years the thought of you stays forever in my heart.
Pretty as a daisy and calm as a fly.
It’s not fair that someone you have known and loved can disappear in a second.
While bad people act all innocent.
The ache in my heart still burns till this day.
There will always be a special place in my heart reserved just for you.
Thank you for protecting me from all the terrors of the world.
I hope to see you someday on the rainbow bridge.
