From a Great Place

I am from my Xbox,
From toys and bikes.
I am from an amazing home,
But sometimes a little messy.
I am from the soccer pitch,
And other outdoor activities.
I am from everyone opening presents on Christmas,
And from eating turkey on Thanksgiving.
I am from a spaghetti and chicken nuggets,
With a nice donut too!
I am from a happy home,
From great parents.
I am from happiness.

My dog named Beau

My dog is named Beau, even though he is small he still runs into walls. He thinks he’s the boss of my house, but he is as little as a mouse.

He always makes me smile, and he also has a good style. He always brings fun, and he’ll always be my number one.

What’s In My Brain?

First and Foremost, chaos!
a few actually important things,
but who cares when you can have…
Anxiety!
Definitely helpful for the whole…
Brain experience.
Lots of book quotes and stories
and don’t forget all those
random conspiracy theories that you
don’t even believe for yourself
Guess what…
More Chaos!
There is also probably a mental hurricane
somewhere in there
like Jupiter’s Red Spot
three sad little dust specks of creativity,
then sarcasm! Lots and lots of sarcasm!
Yay.

Where I’m From

I am from gaming under cozy blankets
From Wilson Tennis Rackets, smacking balls across the court
From Betty Crocker Mug Cakes and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
(the deliciousness always burnt my tongue)
I am from muddy grass in front of limestone brick
Soft, white, and ever so glistening
I am from wet plants and weeds, humid and sticky
beautiful trees towering trees whose trunks I remember scaling
I’m from baking warm lemon cupcakes and dark brown hair
From Amita and Puneet
I’m from fighting for control of the TV Remote and snatching treats from the pantry
From work hard and party harder
I’m from praying at the temple in faith
the sweet taste of nostalgic sugar cubes
the home-felt smell of metallic statues and coins
I’m from Naperville and Shyam Nagar
Spicy lentils and bitter chai
From my father living in the Netherlands for years
The risk my parents took for me to move here
It’s always comforting to open the iPhone 14 containing years and years of memories.

Exploring the Sublime

The axolotl swims with a splash,
Gliding through the water with a gracefulness unworthy of human sight,
Her movements so fluid, like a gentle hum,
In harmony with nature, a peaceful drum.
With a chirp and a chirp, she calls out to her mate,
Their bond unbreakable, a love so great,
Their world below, a symphony of sounds,
Echoing through the murky grounds.
So let us marvel at this creature divine,
With a flip and a flop, in this watery shrine,
Let us protect and cherish, for all time,
The axolotl, a treasure so truly magnificent

Where I am from

I am from the special keyboard me and my brother made.
I am from an old Xbox passed down all the way from my dad.
I am from edible flowers.
I am from an old cabin with dogs and lots of woods around me.
I am from fishing and golfing with my grandpa.
I am from my crazy dirt bike-riding grandpa Edwards.
I am from my grandma Irean whom my middle name is named after and her amazing cookies.
I am from my favorite lost toy called Skull Crusher whom I sadly lost.
I am from those moments that make me, me and I will always cherish.

the place that is not really hidden

On the ground, where most life is found
it is full of adventure, but the need for a break may enter.
So sometimes I look at the sky, and I see clouds fly by.
It always has a breeze, and it feels like stress would ease.
But if you look hard enough, you will find a new world full of stuff.
Everything you see can float, as if this world is the ocean and they are a boat.
But soon you have to return to the ground where you are sadly bound.
But if you look all the way up with known intentions, you will notice one or many dimensions.

What’s in my art bag

What’s in my art bag???

Pencils from oh, so many years ago

Posca pens that have long since ran out of ink

Old oil paints that have been used but once

My trusty pencil, run down to a stub

My rubbery eraser from prize box in first grade

Paint brushes that I have left in sticky mod-podge, stuck together forever

Ideas of new abstract artworks waiting to come to life
