Words
Words
Words
In through your head
Right to your heart
Ugly
Ugly
Ugly
That girl called you ugly?
Now you are wearing 40 pounds of makeup.
HA!
HA!
HA!
Those kids laughed at your shoes?
Now they are at the bottom of the trashcan.
WHA!
WHA!
WHA!
They said you’re a crybaby?
Now you’re afraid to cry in front of anyone.
How did this start again?
Words.
Words hurt
And it’s your choice on how you use them
Late
On the Roadside
It’s six AM
Run, dash
Going fast
About to crash
Being rash
Almost there
Don’t look back
Dash, dash, SMASH!
The flowing stones
The grass sways under the winter breeze,
Everything is silent;
The river gushes
The rain pours,
The stones flow down the river
The river roars,
The wind stings,
The stones flow down the river
Under the bed
In Chelsea’s room
Under the bed sits
Nothing there but dust bunnies
And forgotten things
Forgotten,like under the bed
He lets the loneliness consume him completely
All completely,alone
He looks around the room,to see if he’ll ever be more
than just
under
the bed
The old shoes,his only friends
Empty,so completely alone
Hopes, and wonders if Chelsea will ever come home
He remember when she would hide under the bed
From her parents and their fights
And the language that is as colorful as a rainbow
He hasn’t heard those fights in a long time
He hasn’t heard anything in a long time
He wonders
Will he ever be anything more than just under the bed?
The Waterfall
Trickles of water
Coming down at rapid pace
Loud and beautiful
My Tooth Brush
At my sink, on the charger
my toothbrush lies
ready to be used, i pick it up,
and press the button, then
put it into my mouth as it
vibrates and cleans my teeth.
A Christmas morning
We wake up to a Christmas morning,
the fire so bright but warming
On this day I will never be in mourning.
Kids filled with excitement on this wonderful day,
Parents feel stressed on this busy but exciting day.
Presents on the ground
Wrapping paper all around
Stockings hanging
Ornaments dangling.
Christmas is our favorite day
Hands down I just got to say
Christmas is the best holiday.
Couch
Red, black , blue or green
Big, medium or small
Velvet, cotton, fuzzy or leather
There’s a perfect one for all
So many options, so many colors
So many sizes and shapes
Pick the comfiest one
We don’t have time to wait.
Grab a blanket and some popcorn
Don’t forget the remote
Snuggle up with your pup
And binge your favorite show
In a Cage
In a cage
The hamster scurries
To find the best spot.
Buries himself in the debris
To get comfy,
Yawns tinily
Goes limp
Closes his eyes
Falls asleep,
To the sounds of the outside world.
The river
The water sways almost everyday
and leaves fall from the tops of trees
Fish swim in the Rain and on sunny days
The River a place where children play
Where yet still the river rests.
