Deep in the forest the mockingbird cries
And the sun’s light will say it’s goodbyes
And everyone knows
That after it snows
Tree, brush, and flowerbud dies
Deep in the snow, the grasses turn dark
And away flies the sparrow and lark
Hear their sweet song
As they fly along
Leaving the evergreen’s bark
Deep in the winter, the ice starts to melt
And away goes the cold that everyone felt
And the birds that sing
Return wind under wing
And the bear shakes snow from its pelt
